A concept that knows how to reinterpret vintage standards with elegance. When it's there you can hear it. And at the juncture it breathes like a velvety, old-time breeze, drawing from the repertoire at the turn of the "20s and "50s, to transport it
softly into the present with obsequiousness, without excess, in stylistic harmony and atmosphere and yet never banal.
The project formed by Cecilia Carta (Voice), Luciano Poli (Guitar) , Marco Carta (Electric bass) and Sergio Mazzei (Drums) relaunches sonic impulses, artistic instincts and above all new music, developing a concept that continues along the line of reinterpretation of jazz/swing standards, where Cecilia Carta's warm voice stands out in the foreground.
From Billy Strayhorn's "Take the Train" to "Night and Day" by. Cole Porter, through "Undecided" by Charlie Shavers, and !"Evrybody loves my baby" by Clarence Williams and Jack Palmer, defining a journey that finds its its expressive dimension of choice as much in the penumbra of live venues as much as in situations devoted to an elegant and refined soundtrack.
The result is a seamless rhythmic flow continuity, in which the trio leaves its mark with accents dynamic and effervescent.
