KLEZ GANG Klezmer and balkan band for all occasions

The KLEZ GANG brings together all Italian musicians with a past in classical, jazz and popular music who have found themselves around this music driven by friendship.

Roberto Ricciardelli clarinet teacher at the G.B. conservatory martini of Bologna, Michele Sanguedolce composer and multifaceted instrumentalist with the help of Antonio Giorgi founded this unusual group with the desire to investigate the sounds of Klezmer music but with a completely personal touch.

When they debuted a few years ago, they were often looked at almost with "distrust". Whether this is true or not, things have changed in recent times with ever-increasing success and public consensus: last year they were at the "Artè" event in Fabriano, in Venice as part of "Venezia Gioca 2005" . Also in the summer of 2005 they were at the Volterra Teatro Festival, Venice Carnival 2006. In the summer of 2006 they were in the "Etnica in piazza" billboard in Abruzzo.
You can listen to them on a self-produced CD: "Amour tzigane..." which collects some traditional klezmer and gypsy songs. One of these songs was also broadcast on RADIO RAI 1.

In July 2007 they were on the program of the Mistà Festival in Piedmont alongside names such as Paolo Fresu, Uri Caine and Kocani Orkestra and they also performed at the 24th Musica Riva Festival in Trentino.
They also participated in the Adriatico Mediterraneo festival in Ancona.
They also boast a collaboration with Enrico Ruggeri in the triple CD "All in... l'ultima dementia!" (2009).
