About / Biography

Sadakat Aman Khan (born 11th August 1997), is an Indian Classical Musician from Maldah, West Bengal. He is a solo harmonium player and a harmonium accompanist. He belongs to a "Gharana"(heritage) which is the pathfinder of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (Kasur Patiyala). He started learning music from his grandfather, Sangeetacharya Ustad Md Yunus Khan. Then, now from his father Ustad Sahadat Rana Khan. He also got a chance to take taalim from Shri Suvendu Banerjee (Harmonium Maestro). He has also worked in fusion music in different Bands and Musical Societies. One of such is “COTTON MOUTH”. He is the founder of "Harmonium Metal".

As a child he had little interest in music. His grandfather Late Yunus Khan was among the first to note his musical talents, and for some time trained him. However, he received his main training from his father Ustad Sahadat Rana Khan, initially at his house. A strict disciplinarian, Ustad Sahadat Rana Khan would insist on voice training (Swar Sadhana) from four in the morning, and make Sadakat practice one note of the scale for hours on end. A whole day would be spent on practising just a single note. It was not until he was 14 that Sadakat began to truly enjoy his musical training.
