Hi, I am Sax in the City. Andrew Holt is a vibrant Jazzy Tenor Saxophone Soloist based in Sydney, Australia. Andrew plays locally at “Kingship Coffee” in Mascot and Andrew until recently played a one and a half year long residency at “Jazzy Cafe Bar” in Surry Hills. Andrew also played as a Solo Artist at a regular Sunday gig at “Buddy’s Bar” in Newtown.
I play alongside specially curated backing tracks. I can be booked to play for either one, two or three hours, no problem at all. I have quite a few playlists ranging from Jazz, Blues, Latin and up to the minute Pop tunes. I can play continuously without repeating any tunes. I can also play audience requests upon a moments notice, so I am more like a full band than a Solo Act really.
Regards Andrew Holt.

Hello
I don't require any extra power or microphones to play a small cafe or venue. If it's a boutique bar such as is the case with Buddy's Bar in Newtown I simply plug into their mixer to access my backing tracks. Then if a Microphone is available I can boost my Saxophone volume using that, but unless it's a bigger room then it's unnecessary.
All I require is a tall barstool. All my audio equipment is battery powered.
I’d say the most recent gig was a Christening and there were 70 guests who enjoyed my playing for three hours non stop.
It only takes us 10 minutes to set up the Bluetooth Speakers to the iPhone where I can access my Backing Tracks.
I usually play for 2 hours. I can play for three non stop without a break. I find this is satisfactory for the venues as playing a continuous flow of music is best suited for the smooth Jazzy tunes that I play.
