Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Three separate 20-30 amp circuits are ideal when Entertainers bring all equipment, but can operate with two. This is generally supplied by the event planner. It is ideal to run amps on one circuit, sound on another, and lights on a third. Lights are mostly LED, so not a big draw. The band may also run any computer/projectors off that circuit

What information do you require about a venue?

Its always good to know if its indoors or outdoors, and if the space is covered or not.
Its very helpful to know the hours and any special requests.
Upstairs or not?
Load In instructions?

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a quality lighting rig.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, or something equivalent.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Performing for Merck Pharma in the old Dallas Cowboys stadium on the field.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our favorite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
Corporate Parties are a ton of fun too!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I personally have played all my life. As a band we all are seasoned vets and played for many years.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My influences relate to bass as that's my instrument. I have emulated John Taylor( Duran Duran), Verdine White (EW&F), James Jamerson(Motown session bassist), Rocco Prestia ( Tower Of Power). So as a bassist I bring the groove and funk and soul to the band.

How do we go about booking The Bitz - Your Party Soundtrack for our event?

We partner with GigHeaven and others to help streamline the booking and payment process; their online tools make each step of the process easy and worry-free.

We're also happy to work directly with you to book the band for your event! If you prefer, we can also connect with your event planner/coordinator.

What are the steps between hiring you and when you play our event?

We are committed to your date as soon as we have a signed contract and deposit! To ensure the band knows exactly what you want for your event, we ask that you send us details such as timeline, song choices, announcement details, etc.

Can we request songs that aren't on your song list?

Absolutely! We'll be happy to learn up to three (3) to five (5) new songs for the reception for a small additional fee.
This is separate from special requests such as first dance, father/daughter dance etc., or live ceremony music.

When is full payment due?

When booking us through GigHeaven, final full payment including deposit is due at the time of booking.

If you decide to work with us directly to book the band, a deposit is due at the time of booking; the remaining balance is due on or before the day of the event.

What are your stage/performance space requirements?

A performance space or stage with dimensions of at least 20x16 feet is preferred. If the available space is smaller, let us know as soon as possible so that we can work on an alternate setup.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 to 3 hours before the performance to set up. Hard to say how long s all shows vary but a typical performance is 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter its all based on what the client wants.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, it helps if we are covered though.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We do engage them and allow them to see what e have come up with , we also allow them to tell us " which songs not to play" so we don't offend or play anything they would not like.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Authentic
