Abonwabisi brothers is an traditional acapella choir. We're based in Cape Town, Khayelitsha township. The choir consists of 10 male voices, we sing and dance simultaneously with pure natural voices. It was founded in 1997 by Mr Z Xabazi and O Tshiwula with the help of 6 members.
Our Objectives was to create jobs and fight crime through our music as the youth where facing high unemployment and crime rate.
Our achievements:
- In 2010 we travel to London UK in Windsor to perform in opening horse race;
- In 2014 we perform at Metropolitan film, in 2015/2016 perform Cape Town fringe festival;
- We recorded 3 Albums Our first album Igculaza HIV and AIDS second album Niziphathe Kahle behavior;
- We have performed in various weddings around Western Cape for local and international clients.
