About / Biography

Established in 2000, with the ultimate east anglian venue list, where we are based, and beyond, we have celebrated and danced with thousands of clients in the UK and Europe. From the most intimate garden party to sea front holiday venues and outdoor festivals. We continue to entertain our audiences with our cover versions of all musical genres from early R&R, through 60s, glam rock, synth pop, disco, Britpop, and through the 2000s to present, all with the popular floor fillers from those eras. We encourage audience participation, interaction and requests and inject fun into all gigs and maintain professionalism inc. music quality and repertoire.

Our band consists of:
Drummer, Keyboards, Guitarist, Bass guitarist, and female vocalist.

All 5 take lead vocals at some point, and supply backing harmonies the rest of the time. You wont hear the same voice more than 2 or 3 times in a row.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Ideally, around 21’ long, by 8’ deep, and 8’ high. And also ideally, it should not be across the corner of a room, or facing away from the audience. We interact with them as a major part of our performance and so need eye contact. We can fit into smaller areas but it then begins to inhibit our performance and comfort on stage.
The band uses approximately 1500 – 2000 watts, so a single household socket, which has a limit of 3500 watts is more than adequate. We carry plenty of distribution boards and extensions with us. Give this information to your marquee provider if using one, he should know the size of any generator needed.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We are fully self contained. Since the end of 2023 we have modernised our equipment to go fully ‘digital’. This means we have no amplifiers on stage at all. All sound now comes from the speakers on each side of the stage, which we have full control of via a dedicated app on our band tablets. We have 'snakes' to route to your sound engineer if required for front-of-house control. We control all of our in-ear monitor feeds.
We carry all necessary lighting for the stage and band members. The light from those sources spills onto the immediate dance floor area in front of us, but the remainder of the hall/marquee should have minimal dim lighting if possible.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We dont supply a DJ service as such but we can put background or dance music on whenever we are off stage, before, between and after our sets. Alternatively, you can supply an iPod/mp3 player with music of your own choice on, which we can plug into our system using the standard mini jack/earphone socket. Our breaks rarely last longer than 20 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

We've done many 'best' gigs, they include playing in front if c8000 folks on Great Yarmouth sea front for HeartFM, or 2000 cubs/scouts at one of their Jamborees at Huntingdon Racecourse, or fancy dress balls for our military servicemen/women at their base in Germany. The Vox Conference Centre, Resorts World, in Birmingham was a particularly nice venue.

What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings are great but any where the folks just want to dance and party.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

This band has been together since 2000 with only a couple of musician changes. 90% of our work comes from word of mouth and recommendations. All 5 members are experienced performers.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We each have different favourite artists, MJ, Beyoncé, Paul Rodgers, Jamiroquai and Take That.
My favourite song of all time is the Beatles' Penny Lane.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We'd normally arrive at a venue 2 hours before 'kick off'. A standard 8 – 12 function would see us on stage for anything up to 3 hours. Our set lengths are flexible, but usually it means 3x 1-hour sets. That time may be shortened by other events that are happening, speeches, raffles, auctions, buffets etc. You won’t need to hire a disco to cover our breaks.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely, providing all the usual safety and weather issues are taken care of.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Yes, you are welcome to email us a list of favourite songs and/or artists, and we can amend our set lists to include a selection of them. As a standard, we will play the first dance tune at weddings, given enough notice (say 3 months), and providing we think we can do the song justice.
Also, we WILL take requests on the night from the audience, and try to perform as many as we can during the evening. Often a source of great fun for us and the audience.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

"Brilliant", "Thank you so much for the most fabulous evening music and entertainment", "A fantastic evening - thank you so much!" etc etc etc

Are you fully live?

Yes, no backing tapes or recordings.
