Don't see your special song?
This list is just a sample of my most-requested pieces. If there is a song that is special to you that is not on this list, I would be delighted to create a unique and beautiful violin arrangement just for you. Please ask!
A small performance area: I just need a flat, stable surface of about 2x2 meters (or 6x6 feet).
Access to a power outlet (If amplification is required): I require access to one standard electrical outlet for my small, high-quality amplifier and equipment.
For outdoor events: I must have adequate cover, such as a canopy, umbrella, or shaded area. This is crucial to protect my delicate wooden instrument from direct sun or potential rain.
To ensure a flawless performance, here is the key information I typically need beforehand:
Logistics: The full venue address, parking/load-in details, and the name and mobile number of an on-site contact person (like a planner or venue manager).
Performance Area: Confirmation if the space is indoors or outdoors, the exact setup location, and the proximity of the nearest power outlet.
Schedule: A basic timeline of the event, including my performance start/end times and the timings for any specific musical cues (e.g., the bride's entrance).
I do not provide large PA systems, speakers for a DJ, or microphones for speeches and announcements. Those broader audio-visual needs are best handled by your DJ or a dedicated AV rental company that specializes in production for the entire event.
No.
For the best gig, it wasn't the biggest or most glamorous one. It was a small wedding I played a couple of years ago at a beautiful old masia out in the Penedès wine country. The couple asked me to arrange a song you don't typically hear at weddings: "Hoppípolla" by Sigur Rós. When the moment came and the bride started her walk down the aisle with that song playing, the sun setting over the vineyards... it was just electric. I glanced over and saw the groom was completely overcome with emotion. It felt less like a performance and more like I was part of a huge, personal moment in their story. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
As for the best venue, hands down, it has to be the Sant Pau Recinte Modernista in Barcelona. I played a corporate event there, and the place just blew my mind. You're standing in this incredible work of art, and the acoustics in those halls are unreal. The sound of the violin just fills the space and seems to hang in the air. It’s on
While I enjoy the unique energy of all kinds of events,a stylish corporate launch or an intimate anniversary dinner can have a fantastic atmosphere.I'd have to say my favourite is, without a doubt, a wedding.
There’s just nothing else like it. The emotional stakes are so high, in the best possible way. You're not just background music; you're a central part of a story unfolding in real-time.
I love the journey of it all: the quiet, nervous anticipation before the ceremony, the explosion of joy and relief during the cocktail hour, and the elegant vibe of the dinner. As the musician, you get to shape the soundtrack for all of those moments. But the best part is getting to work with the couple to find their song and create a version that's unique to them.
Seeing that music connect with them and their family on such a personal level... yeah, that's the real reward. So while I love a good party of any kind, weddings just have that extra layer of meaning. It feels like you’re contributing
I’m classically trained, having studied at the renowned Conservatori del Liceu here in Barcelona. I began my career playing in orchestras and chamber groups, which I loved, but the shift to solo events was a happy accident. A friend asked me to play at his wedding, and the experience was a complete revelation.
In an orchestra, you're part of a huge sound but distant from the audience. There, I saw the direct emotional impact the music had on everyone. It wasn't about perfect technique; it was about pure connection.
After that first wedding, my career grew organically through word-of-mouth. I quickly realized that using my skills to create a personal soundtrack for people's most important moments was what I was truly meant to do. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.
My influences are broad. On the classical side, it’s J.S. Bach; his work for solo violin is the foundation for any violinist. As a performer, I'm hugely inspired by the raw emotion of Itzhak Perlman. Beyond that, I draw from the melodic genius of film composer Ennio Morricone and even bands like Queen, who were masters of musical drama.
My favourite artist is probably Morricone. He was a master of telling a complete, emotional story with just a melody.
As for the greatest song of all time, that's an impossible question! But if forced to choose, I’d say the Prelude to Bach's Cello Suite No. 1. It's pure, distilled emotion that feels less like it was written and more like it was discovered. It is timeless perfection.
Setup Time
I always plan to arrive at the venue 45 to 60 minutes before I am scheduled to begin playing. This gives me ample time to connect with your event coordinator, find my designated spot, set up my equipment discreetly, and do a quick, quiet sound check. The actual setup process only takes about 15-20 minutes, so I am always ready well before your first guests arrive.
Performance Times
This is completely tailored to your event, but here are the most common formats:
Wedding Ceremony: Typically a one-hour booking, which includes 15-20 minutes of prelude music as guests arrive, plus the music for the key parts of the ceremony itself (processional, signing of the register, recessional).
Cocktail Hour/Reception: This is usually booked by the hour. A standard hour of performance consists of 45-50 minutes of music, with a short 10-15 minute break.
Everything is flexible and can be customized to fit your schedule perfectly.
I am more than happy to perform at outdoor events, provided one crucial condition is met: I must have adequate cover.
My violin is a delicate and valuable wooden instrument, and it simply cannot be exposed to direct sunlight or the risk of rain and moisture. The sun can quickly damage the instrument's wood and varnish, and dampness can be disastrous.
This protection can easily be provided by a canopy, a marquee tent, a covered terrace, or a large, stable event umbrella.
As long as that simple requirement is met to keep the instrument safe, I would be delighted to help create the perfect musical atmosphere for your outdoor event.
Client input isn't just welcome, it's a vital part of the process. My goal is to create a soundtrack that is deeply personal and meaningful for your event.
I provide an extensive repertoire list that covers everything from classical pieces and jazz standards to modern pop hits and film scores. You can use this as a starting point to select your favourites, or you can leave it to me to curate a playlist based on the atmosphere you want to create.
Most importantly, if you have a special song that isn't on my list—perhaps "your song" as a couple or a family favourite—I am more than happy to create a unique and beautiful violin arrangement just for you. This is one of my favourite things to do!
The feedback I receive is incredibly rewarding. Three themes come up most often:
Elegant & Emotional: Clients consistently use words like "elegant," "emotional," and "magical." They often say the live music created a core memory, especially when they heard their special song played during a key moment.
Professional & Seamless: A very common comment is that the whole process was easy and stress-free. They appreciate the clear communication and that on the day, I was set up and ready to go without them needing to worry about a thing.
Versatile Repertoire: Guests are frequently surprised and delighted to hear a modern pop song they love played on the violin. Clients say this blend of classic and contemporary was a huge hit.
In short, they describe the experience as an emotional highlight of their day, delivered with calm professionalism.
