My setup is designed to be as seamless and stress-free for you as possible!

Power: I need access to 1–2 standard power outlets near the performance area.

Space: A compact area of approx. 2m x 2m is perfect.

Sound Connection: For intimate events, I bring my own high-quality portable sound system. For larger events, I prefer to plug directly into the main venue/DJ PA system to ensure the best possible sound balance across the room.

Access: Easy access to the venue for load-in is appreciated, and I always arrive 30-60 minutes early for a soundcheck.

To ensure everything runs perfectly, I just need a few logistical details:

Location/Access: The venue address and parking/load-in accessibility.
Sound Setup: Will there be a DJ or Band with a PA system I can plug into? If not, I can provide my own portable sound setup.
Power: Confirmation of a power outlet near the stage/performance area.
Timing: The exact timings for the performance and any specific schedule (e.g., if I’m playing after a band or during a ceremony).

Yes, I offer a smart, professional setup:

Sound: I provide a professional, portable sound system tailored for small to medium-sized events. For larger venues or when performing alongside a DJ/Band, I seamlessly integrate with the main sound system (PA) to guarantee premium audio quality.
Lighting: I do not provide stage lighting myself. However, my performance is designed to complement whatever lighting the venue or your DJ provides. If you have specific lighting needs, I’m happy to coordinate with your other vendors.

Yes, I can manage the background music!

I am happy to run a curated Spotify playlist through my sound system during my breaks and before/after my sets to keep the atmosphere consistent.
Note: While I manage this playlist, I am a musician and not a professional DJ. I don't take complex DJ requests or mix tracks on a deck, but I’m an expert at creating the right 'vibe' for your event!

One of my absolute favourite venues is Castle Leslie—the history and the atmosphere there are truly magical. But the 'best' gig? It was a high-energy wedding at the Powerscourt Hotel. The energy from the crowd was absolutely electric from the first note to the last. When the music, the acoustics, and the energy of the guests all click together, it feels like the whole room is dancing as one. Those moments when you connect perfectly with the crowd are exactly why I love performing.

I honestly love the variety! Weddings are fantastic because of the pure joy and celebration—it's a real honour to be part of such an important day. But I’m also a huge fan of high-energy corporate parties and milestone birthday celebrations where I can really get the dancefloor moving. Whether it's the intimate, romantic vibe of a drinks reception or the 'peak hour' energy of a late-night party set, my favourite event is always the one where the crowd is ready to have a great time and make memories.

My musical journey began with a deep, academic foundation in classical saxophone, and as a professional music teacher, I’ve always been passionate about the technical side of the instrument. I started gigging because I wanted to take that foundation and translate it into something high-energy and fun for live events.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of performing at hundreds of weddings, corporate galas, and private celebrations across Ireland. My background allows me to be incredibly versatile—I can easily transition from sophisticated, elegant background music for a ceremony to high-energy, contemporary sets that get the dancefloor moving. For me, gigging isn't just about playing the notes; it's about reading the room, bringing the right energy, and making sure everyone has a night to remember.

My biggest influences range from jazz legends like John Coltrane and Charlie Parker, who taught me everything about phrasing and improvisation, to high-energy icons like Earth, Wind & Fire, who showed me how to really drive a dancefloor. My favourite artist has to be Stevie Wonder—his music is timeless, soulful, and has that perfect 'feel-good' energy that I try to bring to every performance.

As for the greatest song of all time? It’s almost impossible to pick, but I have to go with 'September' by Earth, Wind & Fire. It’s the ultimate crowd-pleaser; no matter what the age of the guests, as soon as that beat drops, everyone is smiling and on the dancefloor. That’s the kind of music I love to play!

I am very flexible and always ensure my timing aligns perfectly with your event schedule. Typically, I arrive 60 minutes before the performance begins to set up and conduct a thorough soundcheck.

Regarding performance times, I tailor my sets to suit the flow of your night. Whether you need a high-energy 2 x 45-minute party set, a focused 'after-band' performance to keep the momentum going, or extended background music for a drinks reception, I am happy to adapt. My goal is to make sure the music complements your timeline, not the other way around!

Absolutely! I love performing outdoors—there’s something special about the atmosphere of an open-air event.

I am fully equipped with a high-quality, battery-powered sound system, which gives us great flexibility. Whether it’s an elegant performance during a ceremony in a church or garden, or an upbeat, high-energy set on a beach, I don't always need access to mains power to get the party started.

To ensure the best possible sound and keep my saxophone and equipment safe, I just ask for a dry, flat, and shaded area. As long as the weather is on our side, I’m ready to bring the music anywhere you need it!
