Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

For ceremonies and receptions, I bring my own professional-grade PA system (MiPro 708) with wireless microphone, which is Bluetooth compatible for music playback. All I require is access to power (if indoors or if battery backup isn't suitable) and a shaded area or cover if the ceremony is outdoors to protect equipment from heat or rain. I also provide a signing table and chairs upon request.

What information do you require about a venue?

I require the following details about your venue to ensure everything runs smoothly:

Exact address and name of the venue

Ceremony and reception locations (if different)

Access and parking information (for unloading equipment)

Power availability (for PA system, if needed)

Wet weather backup plan (for outdoor ceremonies)

Venue contact person (if applicable)

Any venue rules or restrictions (e.g. noise, confetti, timing)

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the most memorable gigs I’ve done was a 500-guest wedding where I was the Celebrant, MC, and On-the-Day Coordinator – it was a full house of energy, laughter, and love. Managing all three roles kept me on my toes, but seeing everything flow so perfectly for the couple was incredibly rewarding.

As for venues, it’s hard to beat Crown Towers Perth for the sheer wow factor, but I’ve also loved working at smaller, character-filled spots like Stonebarn in Pemberton and The Quarry Amphitheatre. Each venue brings its own magic – and I thrive on making any space feel special for my couples.

What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings – without a doubt. I love being part of such a personal and meaningful moment in people’s lives. Every couple brings their own energy, story, and style, and I thrive on creating ceremonies that feel true to them – whether that’s lighthearted and fun, romantic and heartfelt, or a mix of both.

That said, I also love being an MC at receptions – keeping the vibe high, the schedule on track, and the guests entertained. The mix of emotion and celebration makes weddings my absolute favourite event to be part of.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Before becoming a full-time celebrant and MC, I worked as a teacher and tour guide – two roles that helped me build confidence speaking in front of large groups, thinking on my feet, and connecting with people from all walks of life.

I’ve always loved weddings, and after attending a few where the ceremony didn’t quite capture the couple’s vibe, I realised there was a space for someone who could bring warmth, humour, and authenticity to the role. I became a registered celebrant, got certified, and started gigging in 2020 – combining my people skills, storytelling ability, and event experience into one job I truly love.

Since then, I’ve officiated and MC’d hundreds of weddings across WA and beyond, with crowds from 4 to 500, and I’ve never looked back.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve always been influenced by artists who tell a story – whether it’s with music, words, or stage presence. As an MC and celebrant, I draw a lot of inspiration from performers who know how to read a crowd and bring energy – think Freddie Mercury’s charisma, Adele’s honesty, or Ed Sheeran’s ability to make every song feel personal.

My favourite artist? Probably Paul Kelly – an Aussie legend who captures real, raw moments with simplicity and heart. His storytelling is second to none.

As for the greatest song of all time… tough call! But I’d go with “Bohemian Rhapsody” – it’s bold, theatrical, unpredictable, and brings the house down every time. Just like a great wedding should.

Why did I get in to weddings?

I got into weddings because I love being part of one of the most meaningful days in people’s lives. There’s something special about helping couples tell their story and create memories that last a lifetime.

I wanted to bring a fresh, fun, and genuine approach to ceremonies — making them personal, relaxed, and enjoyable for everyone. Seeing the smiles, the laughter, and the emotions on the day reminds me why I do this every time.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

For ceremonies, I arrive at least 30–45 minutes before the scheduled start time to set up the PA system, do sound checks, and coordinate with any other vendors (photographer, musician, planner, etc.).

As an MC, I usually arrive 30–60 minutes before the reception begins to check in with the couple, venue staff, and ensure the run sheet is finalised and ready to go.

I stay flexible on the day – whether it’s a short elopement or a full-day event where I’m Celebrant + MC + Coordinator, I make sure everything is running smoothly from start to finish.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely, clients have full say in the music! I don’t work from a fixed playlist — I encourage couples to share their favourite songs or special requests for entrances, exits, and background music. I’m happy to collaborate and make sure the music fits the vibe they want for their ceremony and reception.

If clients prefer, I can also suggest popular or classic options that work well for different moments in the day.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often describe my performances as fun, heartfelt, and relaxed. They appreciate my ability to balance humour with sincerity, making their ceremony personal and memorable. Many mention how organised and easygoing I am, which helps reduce stress on their big day.

I’m proud to have received over 70 five-star reviews praising my professionalism, energy, and genuine connection with couples and guests alike.
