Tony is an accomplished piper and has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipes for 18 years. On discharge from the Armed Forces, following his 22 year Military career, he attended the piper’s course at the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming, Inchdrewer House, Edinburgh. He went on to be tutored further under the watchful eye of an Ex Scots Guards Pipe Major, prior to launching his professional career. Tony is predominately a solo piper however also manages The Home Counties Pipes & Drums whom are available for larger corporate events, carnivals and fetes therefore subsequently can supply when required, any number of Pipers and Drummers to you according to your Event. He will tailor the day to your specific requirements and can advise where needed, on the formal parts of your Wedding or event, and also the best way to utilize your piper, to make it an occasion you, your family, and your friends will remember as one of the highlights. Having served in the forces Tony is fully aware of Mess Etiquette and is currently Honorary Piper for the United Kingdom Defence academy.

Tony has played at many prestigious events and venues; he has played in front of Royalty and several well know celebrities. In addition to many events throughout the United Kingdom He has traveled overseas to perform including Germany, Canada, Poland, and the Caribbean. Tony has previously opened The Bobby Davro Charity Show in Dorking, played with The National Symphony Orchestra under their current Principle Conductor Anthony Inglis on two occasions, at Bowood and Knebworth and has recently also completed 8 stadium events with Sir Rod Stewart and his band on their 2019 UK Tour currently included in his playlist

Tony has Several tartans Royal Stuart, Black Stuart McBeth and Black Watch, his family tartans, and can attend in Formal Ceremonial dress, Day or Evening dress subject to your preference.

Tony has an extensive repertoire of traditional Highland music, and in addition, tunes that have been adapted for the Highland Bagpipes. The Pipes only have 9 melody notes therefore some tunes are sadly not playable on the pipes, but Tony would advise you accordingly should this be the case. However, with enough notice and if practical Tony will doe his best to accommodate any specific requests you may have.He has public liability insurance up to £10,000,000.
