Original listening music in the style of Iron & Wine, Fleet Foxes, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan. Randy Perkins plays his songs solo with harmonica and guitar, duo with upright bass, trio with percussion and with The Significant Brothers. He throws in a cover or two from Bob Marley, Dylan, The Byrds, Love. RANDY PERKINS and The SIGNIFICANT BROTHERS will release 14 new Perkins originals throughout the summer of 2026.

What are your basic technical requirements?

Solo: boom mic stand with cord and DI
Duo: add DI and mic stand with mic and cord
Band: all the above plus 4 piece drums with ride, splash and high hat cymbals with stands, mic for electric guitar amp and vocal mics for each


What information do you require about a venue?

Where, access, stage size, sound provided, electrical specs (Europe or American), lighting


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

No, except as a solo or duo I have enough sound for 250 capacity.


Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Opening for The Wallflowers, Keb Mo, Tori Amos, Alejandro Escavedo, Eddie Money, Chris Whitley, and more are all notable but some of my best gigs have been small listening audiences.

Concerts and festivals, listening rooms


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have been performing since I was 11, played 4 nights a week as a house band, toured throughout the USA as a solo artist and with my band. Thousands of shows by now


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Influenced by Van Morrison, Arthur Lee, Dylan, Chris Whitley, etc
Favorite artist and song varies from day-to-day

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

1-45 min set, 2-1 hour sets, or 3-1 hour sets if needed. I will arrive when contracted, no less than 60 minutes prior to show. Setup depends on if I am playing solo acoustic or with my band.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes if covered and weather permitting. Usually there’s no problem.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I take suggestions a week prior to shows but no guarantees if something out of my realm


How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Thought-Provoking, Folkadelic, energetic at times, poignant at other times. It depends on the venue and if solo or with band. Always fun and intimate.
