I am a professional Oriental Arabic Dancer based in Lisbon, Portugal, with over 10 years of professional experience performing both as a solo artist and as part of dance companies, in restaurants, private events, cultural festivals and international dance projects.
My artistic identity is rooted in Egyptian-style Oriental dance, drawing inspiration from Egyptian musicality, aesthetics and feeling. I place a special focus on live performance and improvisation, which makes my shows particularly well suited for restaurants, lounges and events with a live atmosphere. Each performance is adapted to the music, the space and the audience, creating an engaging, elegant and culturally respectful experience.
Throughout my career, I have been part of several recognised projects and companies, including Dançattitude Group, Gabh Diniz Oriental Dance Group, the International Mahaila El Helwa Group, the Raks Noor Company and I am currently an active dancer in the Farah Al Raqs choreographic project by Nur Zahira. I am also a multiple award winner at national dance competitions, in professional and fusion categories.
My repertoire is primarily Egyptian-oriented, and includes:
Classical Oriental / Mejancé (Egyptian style)
Drum Solo / Percussion
Egyptian folkloric styles, including Saidi and Shaabi
Gulf and Iraqi folkloric styles, such as Raks Nasha’at (Khaleege / Gulf style) and Raks al Khawleya (Iraqi)
Fantasy Oriental, including fusion with modern music and the use of accessories such as sword, wings, fans and other stage elements
Oriental Fusion, including styles such as Tango Oriental
I offer professional dance performances for:
Restaurants and themed nights
Bars, lounges and cultural venues
Private parties and celebrations
Weddings and special events
Corporate and cultural events
Shows can be presented as short sets or full performances, choreographed or improvised, and are always tailored to the event’s atmosphere and client needs. I am available for solo or group performances, depending on availability and request.
= areas covered (up to 220 miles)
= free travel (up to 50 miles)
I require a safe, flat and non-slip performance area, suitable for dance.
A clear space of approximately 3 x 3 meters is ideal, although I can adapt to smaller spaces when necessary.
Basic ambient lighting is sufficient.
If props such as wings or sword are used, additional vertical clearance may be required (to be discussed in advance).
I also need to know how the music should be provided, for example via USB pen, Bluetooth, or another playback device, to ensure a smooth setup on the day of the event.
I kindly ask for:
Exact venue address and access instructions
Performance area size and surface type
Event schedule and preferred timing of the performances
Whether music will be played through the venue’s sound system or live musicians
Any relevant restrictions (sound limits, space limitations, etc.)
This information helps ensure the performance is adapted smoothly to the venue and event flow.
I do not provide sound or lighting equipment.
Music can be played through the venue’s sound system, or performances can be adapted for live music when available.
I provide my own costumes and dance accessories as required for the performance.
I do not provide a DJ or Spotify service before or between my dance sets.
Music before, after or between performances should be provided by the venue or event organiser.
I am, however, happy to coordinate the timing of my sets with the event flow and adapt my performances accordingly.
Some of my most rewarding performances have been live shows with musicians, where the interaction between music and dance creates a strong, authentic atmosphere on stage.
I also value long-term work as a resident dancer in restaurants/bars, as it requires adaptability, musical awareness and the ability to connect naturally with different audiences throughout the evening.
These experiences best reflect how I work: present, responsive and focused on the live moment.
I enjoy events with a live atmosphere, where the performance can be shaped in real time according to the music, the space and the audience.
Restaurants/bars, cultural events and private celebrations allow this kind of connection, and the same approach translates well to weddings and corporate events when a refined and adaptable performance is required.
I have been training in Oriental dance since 2007 and performing professionally for over 10 years.
My experience includes solo and group performances in restaurants/bars, private events, cultural festivals and dance projects, as well as work as a resident dancer, which has played a key role in shaping my adaptability and stage awareness.
I started gigging gradually, alongside continuous training, and my work has naturally evolved through live performance experience, collaboration with other artists and ongoing artistic development.
I don’t have a single favourite artist or song.
My inspiration comes from many different sources, and I draw particular influence from Oriental dancers working in Egypt, especially in terms of musicality, presence and approach to live performance. I translate these influences through my own personality and artistic voice.
I usually arrive approximately 1 hour before the first performance.
Around 30 minutes before the show starts, this time is used for costume changes, warm-up and sound coordination, ensuring a smooth performance.
Performances are structured in entries, rather than continuous stage time:
Single Entry:
1 performance (approx. 5–10 minutes). Classical Oriental, drum solo or folkloric style; choreographed or improvised; solo performance.
Three Entries Show:
3 performance entries (approx. 15–20 minutes total). Musical variety and possible costume change; solo performance.
Fantasy option includes the use of stage accessories.
Resident Dancer / Full Evening:
Up to 5 entries throughout the event (approx. 20–25 minutes total). Includes 4 costume changes, a mix of classical Oriental, folkloric and/or fusion styles, and improvised performances adapted to a live atmosphere; solo performance.
The timing and spacing of entries are always adapted to the event flow and venue needs.
Yes, I am happy to perform outdoors, provided the performance area is safe, flat and suitable for dance.
I normally dance barefoot, so it is important to be informed in advance about the type of floor/surface (e.g. stone, wood, pavement), in order to adapt footwear if necessary.
Weather conditions, surface safety and adequate lighting should also be considered for outdoor performances.
Clients are welcome to suggest music or musical styles.
All music choices are reviewed in advance to ensure they are appropriate for the event, the venue and the performance style.
I also offer curated music selection, based on the event atmosphere and timing, which many clients prefer. Final musical decisions are always made with the goal of creating a coherent and effective performance.
My performances are known for their strong stage presence, musical sensitivity and expressive energy. They are often described as powerful, captivating and highly engaging, with a clear Egyptian-oriented feel.
I am recognised for my ability to improvise musically, adapt my energy throughout the event and connect naturally with the audience. My versatility allows me to shift between different moods and styles, creating performances that hold attention and invite interaction in an organic way.
