I’ve been influenced by a wide range of artists — from dancehall legends like Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man, to hip-hop icons like Jay-Z and Nas, and even crossover performers who blend genres and energy. Their creativity and ability to move crowds have shaped how I approach every set.
If I had to pick personal favourites, they would be Beres Hammond and Sanchez — both for their timeless voices, storytelling, and the way their music connects so deeply with people.
As for the greatest song of all time… that’s tough! But if I had to choose one, I’d say “One Love” by Bob Marley. It’s timeless, unites people everywhere, and captures exactly what music is meant to do: bring people together.
For most events, I usually require about 60–90 minutes for setup to ensure all sound, lighting, and equipment are tested and ready to go.
Performance times vary depending on the event, but a typical set runs 4–6 hours, covering everything from cocktail hour and dinner to the dance floor. I also provide background music before and between sets to keep the energy flowing seamlessly.
Yes, absolutely! I’m happy to perform at outdoor events — weddings, parties, and festivals alike. All I ask is that there’s a suitable covered area or tent available to protect the equipment from weather, along with access to power. With those basics in place, I can bring the same high-quality sound, lighting, and vibes outdoors as I do indoors.
Clients absolutely have a say in the music! While I bring my own professional expertise and experience reading the crowd, I always work with clients to include their favourite songs, genres, and “must-play” tracks. I also take note of any “do-not-play” songs to make sure the vibe stays exactly how you envision it.
