"My wife and I organized our wedding in a marquee on a farm in the middle of nowhere. We thought we had invited a lively bunch of guests but we had no way to guarantee the atmosphere would properly warm up and we dreaded the thought of an empty dance floor. With ‘Just About Functioning’ on the case we should never have been in doubt. Andy the lead singer had provided us with a vast list of tracks, from which we selected our favourite crowd pleasers. From the moment they lit up the stage, the dance floor was alive. I can't remember how long they played or how many encores they did but amidst moshing mothers and crowd surfing cousins we and all our guests got lost in the electric atmosphere and had the time of our lives. As the dust settled the day after, we had numerous guests approach us to say ‘Just About Functioning’ were the best wedding band they had ever seen. My sister is getting married in 6 months and I am working on her to use the same band, as my wife and I are so desperate to relive the experience again! Andy is a gentleman, laid back, approachable and highly professional. He even went out of his to way to learn a special request for the night which went down so well he was forced by the crowd to sing it again. We couldn't have been happier with Just About Functioning. Their performance completely and utterly blew us away and turned what was already a special day into an absolutely unforgettable experience."

"We hired Igor and his team for our wedding and could not be happier with my experience. They showed up on time, were professional, and most importantly played beautiful music that elevated the event. They provided a string quartet for the pre-ceremony/ceremony music and Jazz trio for the cocktail hour. The pre-ceremony music was romantic and set a beautiful ambiance for our guests as they arrived. They also learned a song that I specifically requested for the recessional which was so special to us. The jazz trio was also amazing for bringing up the energy for cocktail hour and many guests told me how much they enjoyed the music. I was originally on the fence regarding hiring live music but am SO HAPPY we did. If you are thinking about hiring live musicians you should book Elite Music Group"

"Kulturhuset Bølgen in Ålsgårde is a rare combination of concert hall and restaurant. Hornbæk Jazzklub hosts their events here every first Friday of the month. There is room for more than 100 diners, who take their seats an hour and a half before the music begins. When the musicians take the stage, the lights in the hall are dimmed and the tables retract, and the place becomes a concert hall, where the audience does not have to move, but can remain in their good seats at the tables. The bar is silent when the music is playing, but during the break it wakes up to action, like another Holger Danske, and rattles, not with the saber, but with glasses, bottles, coffee and cake. The audience mingles both with each other and with the musicians, and a temporary close and beautiful community emerges. It was the same good atmosphere that prevailed among the musicians when Jesper Hedegaard presented his Sound of Brasil at Bølgen on Friday. The Brazilian Samba has many ramifications, and each rhythm has its own life and its own name. Jesper Hedegaard knows a lot about that, having lived in Brazil for many years. He came there in 1976 and made friends who he took with him to Denmark. Some still live here, others have returned home and new ones have joined. On Friday it was bassist Sidiel Vieira and drummer Celso de Almeida. When they play it looks playful, but that's only because they are masters of their instruments. The music flows from them, like a tsunami, whose enormous power is not noticed until it meets resistance. On Friday, there was no opposition for Jesper Hedegaard can his sambas and the evening's soloist was world class. It was Alexander Kraglund who, without a single note, played the most terrific Brazilian violin and viola with countless small shifts in the rhythmic and surprising harmony changes in the melodic, which is an essential detail of the music. Alexander Kraglund mostly played the viola and the deep timbre blended beautifully with Jesper Hedegaard's piano playing, which mostly took place in the high register. The bassist played counterrhythm and very little walking bass as in jazz. He played merrily with the already dancing rhythms in moody counterplay and he could frolic freely thanks to the fact that the drummer provided a non-slip surface for the music. The evening's many different pieces of music were a mixture of Jesper Hedegaard's own compositions and the bossa nova that Antonio Carlos Jobim started in the early 60s with A Girl From Ipanema. One is to play the violin, another is to play the harmonica, and Alexander Kraglund used this instrument in about half of the pieces. In his violin playing, there were almost no references to Svend Asmussen, which is surprising. In the harmonica playing there was great inspiration from Toots Thielemans. Jesper Hedegaard may not be the world's best-known pianist, but by thinking of another pianist, namely Chick Corea (who plays at Kulturværftet at the end of April), and some of his samba-inspired compositions such as La Fiesta and Amando's Rhumba, you get a sense of the music that was played at Bølgen on Friday. The fact that Bølgen's own sound man, Casper Skovgaard, also knows which buttons to touch and not to touch is the extra quality that Bølgen has and that many other venues can only dream of."

"100% would recommend to anyone looking for an incredible acoustic duo who are supportive from the moment you book right til the end of their final set. Easy comms and arrived with no delays, quick setup and really great sound. The Mirrors were able to read the room and did a fantastic job managing the energy with their sets. They even played our song for our first dance which worked out perfectly! Could not recommend them enough."

"OliveTreeDance at Boom Festival 2016 – A Multi-Tribal Explosion of Sound Boom Festival 2016 was already an immersive celebration of art, music, and consciousness, but when OliveTreeDance took the stage, the entire experience was elevated to an entirely new dimension. The Portuguese tribal-dance powerhouse delivered a performance that was nothing short of hypnotic—a sonic ritual that ignited every cell in the bodies of those fortunate enough to witness it. From the very first vibration of the didgeridoo, the air became electric. Renato Oliveira (Oliver) wielded his instrument like a shaman leading a ceremony, his deep, pulsating drones setting the foundation for a transcendental dance journey. The fusion of earthy grooves and ethereal overtones created an atmosphere that felt ancient yet futuristic, grounding yet cosmic. The percussion was the heartbeat of the experience, an intricate network of beats that dictated the tempo of the trance. The drums were relentless yet perfectly controlled, shifting between deep tribal grooves and explosive, high-energy bursts that sent waves of movement rippling through the crowd. The interplay between the didgeridoo and the rhythmic section was pure alchemy—seamlessly weaving moments of intensity with hypnotic breakdowns, allowing dancers to ride the waves of sound like tribal nomads journeying through a sonic landscape. The energy of the performance was nothing short of infectious. The Boom crowd—already known for its uninhibited, ecstatic dance expression—was completely in sync with the music. Faces painted in fluorescent colors, feet stomping the dust into the air, arms reaching for the sky—this was more than a concert; it was a collective rite of passage into a state of pure rhythm-driven euphoria. As the set built to its peak, OliveTreeDance introduced unexpected sonic layers, from looping vocal chants to bursts of percussive madness, amplifying the trance-like effect. The synergy between musicians and audience was total, a feedback loop of energy and movement that defied the limits of what a live performance could achieve. By the time the last note echoed into the night, the Boom Festival dancefloor was left in a blissful daze—breathless, euphoric, transformed. OliveTreeDance had not just performed; they had invoked a multi-tribal dance ritual that merged ancient tradition with modern psychedelic celebration. Boom Festival 2016 was a portal to another world, and OliveTreeDance was the shamanic force that guided us through it. Absolutely unforgettable."

"Carol and Marco were absolutely wonderful from the very first enquiry till the wedding day and even since then! They are the most genuinely kind and caring vendors we had the pleasure of working with during our wedding planning. They were happy to satisfy every request, including learning 3 new songs for us to help make our day even more special. They remained completely professional at every stage and were always so kind and caring towards us. Our guests absolutely loved the live music during aperitivo hour and the dj set was perfect as well! We would not hesitate to use Carol and Marco again for any future events and we definitely recommend them to anybody considering choosing them for their wedding. Thank you so much Carol and Marco for making our wedding so special with your beautiful music and your kindness!"
