Review Centre: 1980s Era Musicians & Bands

"Excellent DJ Set, broad playlist, and enthusiastic maestro A small house party but the provider took the time to set up his full range of equipment and delivered 5 hours of total fun. We had live performers in addition and the provider supported their efforts by loading and playing their backing tracks. But he did not hide behind his wheels of steel; he ventured out among attendees, encouraging them to join in the fun and have a good time. We were very pleased with the product delivered by the provider."

"I have now seen the Groove Warriors three times in the Bull’s Head. Every time I travelled down from Edinburgh. What a great band, and a fantastic funky sound. Hope to make it over in 2026 to see them again. Keep it funky now! "

"The Tigers DJ and Pam met our every requirement and more! Right from the get go Pam ensured that every aspect of our event was covered. The team went that extra mile that our event went without a hitch. The band and DJ read the crowd perfectly and honestly bought such a great atmosphere to the event. We have since used them for 5 other Events and will be using them again this year! They are all incredibly talented. "

"I went to see this band at Doc MacGilligans recently and was enjoying the music until the end of the first set. The band is quite good but the lead singer seems to think that he can impose his will on others. I went to the washroom and discovered, when I returned to my seat at the bar, that he had moved my drink and jacket to another location so his family/friends could be together. Had he simply asked, I would have agreed but to make that unilateral decision really told me something about him and turned me off the band."

"Great band with tons of energy and talent! If you want a great voice, high energy band, THIS is your band! We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. They were great with communication from the beginning of the process and followed up with a wonderful performance for our reception. They were very engaging with the guests and really got the celebration started. The wedding couple had a great time, as well as all her friends and family and this band was a big reason why. "I hired forever Elton for my 40th birthday! He was incredible - nothing was to much turned up on time. The whole party was on the dance floor from start to finish! Incredible! Some of the party members are now asking for the info for their future parties! Keep up the good work Phil. You can defo give Elton a run for his money. "

"Fun, Energetic, & Personalized Performance Recently hired this duo for my parent’s wedding anniversary party and they were great! They were super nice, energetic, and even put a personal touch on the night by singing my parents wedding song for us. 10/10 would recommend to anyone else looking for some good entertainment!"

"Josh and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your performance at our wedding. We thought you were absolutely incredible and the whole atmosphere during your sets was just amazing. All our guests that we've spoken to seem to agree and we've definitely heard a few 'best wedding band I've ever seen' comments!  Thank you as well for your efforts and suggestions when I was trying to sort out the issue with my friend with epilepsy - sorry that I didn't reply to your last email the day before the wedding. It's a shame she didn't want to risk it but ultimately her decision.  We're so pleased you were part of our wedding and hope we get a chance to hear you play again in the future!  "

"I can’t recommend Retrophonic enough. So many of our guests after the wedding said how great they were. They were really professional and friendly, working with us to get a set list we’d love. They sounded amazing and most importantly got everyone up dancing. Definitely one of the best wedding bands out there!"
