We want everyone who uses Gig Heaven to be safe. This page explains how we keep Gig Heaven safe, how to report something, and what happens next.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first. In the UK, call 999.
For adults only
Gig Heaven is for people aged 18 or over.
A performer under 18 may be listed only by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who registers and manages the account and emails us at admin@gigheaven.com to confirm this.
How we keep Gig Heaven safe
- A person on our team checks every new listing before it goes live. Listings are also checked automatically for contact details and web links.
- Messages, quotes, files and contracts sent before a booking is confirmed are checked by an artificial intelligence (AI) service before they are delivered. It looks for threats, hate, sexual content, fraud and spam, and for attempts to book outside Gig Heaven.
- Meetings are recorded and checked.
- Photos are checked automatically for QR codes and for contact details shown in them.
- Reviews are checked automatically for signs of abuse. A person looks at any review that is caught.
- Forms and sign-ups are checked against lists of addresses and devices known for spam or abuse, and by a security check.
- An automated check never suspends or closes an account on its own. A person decides that.
You must not use Gig Heaven for anything illegal. That includes scams and fraud, threats, harassment, hate, sexual images of anyone without their consent, and any sexual content involving children. We remove illegal content as soon as we know about it. We may suspend or close the account of anyone who posts it, and report it to the police.
Clause 18 of our terms explains these checks in full.

What happens next
- We email you straight away to confirm we have your report.
- A person on our team reads every report.

- We aim to deal with illegal content within 5 working days.
- We deal with threats of violence, and anything involving a child, the same working day.
- We may remove content, or suspend or close an account. Where the law needs it, we tell the police.
- We may not be able to tell you everything we did, for example to protect someone's privacy.
Complaints and appeals
You can complain to us if you think content on Gig Heaven is illegal and we have not dealt with it; if we have removed, held or changed your content, or stopped a message you sent; or if we have suspended, restricted or closed your account or listing.
- Email admin@gigheaven.com, or reply to any email we sent you about a report. Say what happened and why you disagree.
- A person, not an automated system, looks at it again. Where we can, it is someone who did not make the first decision.
- We acknowledge it within 2 working days and give you our decision within 14 days.
- If we agree we got it wrong, we put things back.
Clause 10 of our terms sets out how complaints work.
