"Absolutely Brilliant brilliant brilliant! I hired Matthew for my wedding at Metropolis in May 2025 and it was the best decision I’d ever made. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever heard. Not only that, the process of organising what kind of music and the details of my specifications on the night were far exceeded. Matthew always replied to my emails promptly, always accommodated my requests and went above and beyond what I expected at my wedding reception. My guests still rave about how great he was till today!"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We hired Bertie Taylor for our party and couldn’t have been happier. He arrived promptly, set up without fuss, and delivered a fantastic set of music that had something for everyone. He was wonderfully adaptable to the crowd, reading the mood perfectly and keeping the atmosphere lively. His talent really shone through — not just in his singing, which was excellent, but also in the way he entertained the guests with some spot-on impressions that had everyone laughing. He brought real energy and fun to the evening, and so many people commented on how much they enjoyed his performance. A true professional and a genuinely talented performer — he made the night. "Wedding day piping Andrew was superb. Nothing was too much trouble & suggested extra ways to make the day so very special. Andrews piping was simply awesome & he happily played requested music. "Big Smoke Brass played at one of our Freshers’ events in September, and they were absolutely wonderful. The music was phenomenal, but equally their professionalism and efficiency were spot on. They made managing a very stressful event, considerably more enjoyable. I’ve already booked them for our Oktoberfest, and will be looking for other opportunities to employ them again. These boys are incredibly talented and deserve to go far. On behalf of Trinity Laban Students’ Union, thank you so so much for your brilliant performance!"

"As you know I have always loved music and parties. In 1965 I introduced world famous groups to a thousand students at university gigs and appreciated how important atmosphere is; you need the right number of people in the right venue, with the right music to give you that special atmosphere. The cost of hiring Horizon was a large part of my budget for our 50th wedding anniversary. But well worth it! Many of the guests (30 from all over the world, the rest Spanish), commented they loved the very wide range and presentation of the songs. The girl singers certainly added to the glamour. The atmosphere they created was superb. I went all out to include a saxophonist and keyboard - more atmosphere. The band also included 6 songs which I especially requested, which shows how easy it was to get on well with the band. I was so relieved as soon as I heard the first song as I knew I had made the right choice. So, if like me, if you wondered if it is the right band, consider the importance of your occasion and what atmosphere you want to create and go for it but remember you can adjust the size of the band if necessary."

"For my 40th, I had a 1920s themed party in a beautiful 1920s ballroom in Letchworth Garden City. I can honestly say that the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the party was the 5 piece Silk Street Jazz band. I felt like I had stepped back in time. They were absolutely wonderful – truly superb – and contributed to one of the very best nights of my life. They were extremely professional, flexible and accommodating (even happy to accompany a last minute request from my husband to sing with them!) and really looked dapper in their gorgeous red waistcoats. They did an outstanding job – what a talented group of gents! Thank you Silk Street Jazz"
