"Friendly and hugely entertaining. The white light band really made my parents 40th wedding anniversary memorable. They were hugely entertaining and had the dance floor packed by the end. They were also extremely accommodating and fit around our surprise party evening incredibly. Thoroughly recommend them. "

"The Jazz Centrale played at the gala dinner for my 35th birthday. It was great music for dinner. Not too overpowering but nice and cozy! Halfway through the evening a singer joined and the change in music was just right. Good communication and they thought along with my wishes. The Jazz Centrale is definitely recommended!"

"If Dr. John and Tom Waits leave you wanting more, lend your ear to one-of-a-kind Aussie artist Pugsley Buzzard, who assimilates their piano playing, singing and songwriting style into his own blues-jazz musical distillation. On this, his fourth solo CD since 2007’s Hammer These Tongs, Buzzard delivers an all-original set recorded in New Orleans, Melbourne and the Blue Mountains. The Aussie backing musicians are so hip to Buzzard’s swampy Crescent City-influenced grooves that it’s difficult to tell which tracks were recorded where. Complementing the Big Easy contingent of tenor and baritone saxophonist Jimmie Carpenter, trumpeter Antonio Gambrell, trombonist Craig Klein, double bassist Nathan Lambertson, guitarist John Fohl, drummer Charles Brewer and singer Irene Sage, is an equally talented band of top local players. The opening bars of the lead-in blues mambo instrumental ‘Cigarstore Indian’, on which Buzzard’s commanding piano echoes Professor Longhair, James Booker and Allen Toussaint all rolled into one, promises a bourbon-drenched musical trip to follow. Buzzard doesn’t disappoint, his gravelly Joe Cocker-by-way-of-Coco Robicheaux vocals and pulsating piano serving up a solid mix of New Orleans R&B from the Fats Domino styled ‘Dirty Kings’ and the inventive minor-key rave-up ‘Gumbo Boogie’, to the gris-gris-soaked, Night Tripper hoodoo funk of ‘Po’ Boy’, ‘Fire In The Hole’ and ‘Mischief’. The Dixieland flavoured ‘Sin City Lights’ gives way to ‘Salamanca Blues’ a solo instrumental displaying Buzzard’s mastery of stride piano. "This band has a really good sound. Quality rock music. They play music that has great beats and rhythms. They cover the classic rock bands and their original songs have a real bluesy feel. "

"Permission to rock was amazing at our wedding. Dave got everyone up dancing from the moment he started playing and I had so many of my guests say how incredible Dave was and how great he sounded. Dave has an excellent voice and his repertoire of songs were perfect for a party. He has a fantastic voice and is a very talented guitarist but he is also a showman who interacted with our guests and introduced our first dance and my father/ daughter dance. Dave was also kind enough to learn a song that was important to me and my husband and he performed it perfectly and I cannot thank him enough for making our day that bit more special and for getting the party started. "
