From the moment he started playing, it was clear we were in for something special. A terrific performance in an intimate setting, paired with delicious food, cold beverages, and genuinely excellent service — it all added up to a delightful night of music, friends, and great vibes. If you haven’t seen Paul Wainwright perform (and honestly, where have you been? He’s been a mainstay of the local music scene for years), I highly recommend you make it a point to catch him live. Good news: Paul will be back at the Aegir Room (the coolest lounge in Victoria) at The Oswego Hotel on Sunday, February 8th and Sunday, February 15th, from 6:00–8:00 pm. Reservations are recommended. "I had the chance to see SaxBonet performing live at an event and I was genuinely impressed. He has an incredible stage presence and knows exactly how to read the atmosphere. The cocktail part felt elegant and sophisticated, and when the party started he completely lifted the energy of the room. The way he integrates the saxophone with the DJ music feels modern and powerful, not intrusive, it really elevates the whole experience. "WORTH EVERY PENNY - Trust me! BEST EVER! When I started planning my 40th birthday party, I couldn't decide between a band or a DJ. Each one I was looking at was just not the vibe and I was starting to get discouraged. Then, a friend of mine posted a story at a party where Tyler was DJing/playing the sax, and right away I knew he was the missing piece. I've attended parties with a sax player before, but NEVER like this and never one who does BOTH the DJing AND the sax! From the moment I reached out, Tyler was incredible. He followed up quickly and was great with all communications - we hopped on a call and to go over my theme and ideas, and he was so receptive and amazing with adding in things to help take my existing ideas to the next level. He even helped with the floor plan suggestions to help ensure my goal of "everyone being on the dance floor with me all night" would be more achievable - and omg am I glad I listened. Additionally, he suggested extending the party 1 hour, and thankfully we did because my initial timing guess was way off. Bottom line - trust him, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. At the same time, he was never pushy and I never felt like I HAD to go with his ideas, but again, so glad I did. On the night of the party, from start to finish Tyler and his team were flawless. He made sure to play all of my "must play" songs, and read the vibes of the room perfectly - I've truly never seen some of my guests dance this much EVER. The amount of people who came up to me that night and have texted and called me since to tell me how epic Tyler and his team were is not surprising in the least. Multiple guests described it as the "best party they've ever been to" and said they "haven't danced that much since college" (and let's just say, it's been at least 15-20 years since then for all of us). One of my friends even booked him on the spot for her upcoming birthday! I could truly go on and on, but I will just end with this - DON'T THINK TWICE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE, BOOK TYLER.
