Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Our best gig is Oktoberfest Columbia in South Carolina. It’s a multi-day festival, and 2026 was our third year. The crowd sings, the dancers from the SC Music and Dance Academy join in, and Günther, our 8-foot chicken, leads the Chicken Dance. Our favorite venue is Southern Appalachian Brewery in Hendersonville, NC. It’s close to home, and the crowd always feels like family.

What's your favourite type of event?

Oktoberfests. We love a brewery or festival where people come ready to sing, clap, and do the Chicken Dance. When a whole room is smiling and moving, we know the night went well.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We formed in 2023, but we’ve been playing polka for years. Adam played with the Mountain Top Polka Band for 13 years. That band began at a church Oktoberfest in 2009. Mike and Diane Fields played as a duo for 17 years. Now we’re a power polka trio from Asheville. We play breweries, festivals, church events, and country clubs across NC, SC, GA, TN, and VA.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We’ve been shaped by polka greats like Frankie Yankovic, Jimmy Sturr, and Walter Ostanek. Our favorite artist is Alex Meixner. Our pick for the greatest song of all time is “In Heaven There Is No Beer”. It makes every room sing.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2.5 hours before the performance to set up. We normally play 3 x 45 minutes. We're happy to play shorter or longer.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside, but we need a flat, level surface and a power supply near the performance area. We can provide our own tent. All outdoor performances will be covered.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We have a set list of songs and provide a great Oktoberfest-style atmosphere

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe us as a high-energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing.
