Hi,
My name is Alex Wengel.
I have been a professional singer for almost 30 years and I live on the beautiful Costa del Sol.
I have worked in Musical Theatre for over 20 years and was very lucky that my work took me to many corners of the world.
Some of my shows include:
Sunset Boulevard, Joseph, Cats, Starlight Express, Elisabeth, Dance of the Vampires and Grease to name a few.
I have always worked with various bands and in the last 10 years I have been working as a solo artist, but always collaborating with other artists.
My repertoire includes:
Swing, the 50`s, 60`s, 70`s and 80`s
but I also venture into modern times and even a bit of Spanish and German.
Special Musical Theatre events with my partner Harvey James as well as Rat Pack nights.
I want to give the audience a great time with classics and singalongs and that little bit of nostalgia that takes people back and makes them get on their feet and dance.
So wether it is for your wedding or that party you always wanted to have, I can asure you, we will have blast together.

A performance space of a minimum of 3 x 2 meters, power sockets and if possible a parking space.
I need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to unload my equipment.
I'm completely self-contained. I bring my own PA system to all my gigs.
I can provide music for before, after and in between my sets.
I was invited to perform for the 10-year anniversary of the musical `Elisabeth Vienna in the glorious opera house.
My favourite event is the one where people are having a great time, singing along and dancing.
Coming from theatre, I started gigging with various bands outside of the theatre world and it is my favourite way to perform.
I was always influenced by voices that captured me like George Benson, George Michael, Luther Vandross, Stevie Nicks, Randy Crawford, and Aron Neville.
It's almost impossible to choose my FAVOURITE song because there are so many, but I Don't Know Much by Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville is definitely in my top 3.
I normally arrive 1 - 2 hours before the performance to set up. I normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 50 minute sets. I`m happy to play a bit longer or shorter but I’ve found that these set times suit me and my venues best."
I'm happy to play outside but I ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
I can learn specific songs before the event but I usually limit this to 3 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire or let me choose the music for them.
Previous clients would describe me as a high energy performer that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing.
