Ant was fantastic!! We asked Ant to sing/ play guitar to one of our favourite songs (Better together, Jack Johnson) during the signing of the register at our church ceremony wedding. He also sang Elton John 'Your song'. We absolutely loved his performance and so many of our guests said how great they thought he was!! He sang them brilliantly and gave an extra personal touch to our ceremony. His kind, easy going nature made the whole process of booking/ arranging very simple. Would highly recommend!!!

Having Ant at our wedding made it so special and memorable! Ant played while I walked down the aisle, sang our first dance, and also played during the drinks reception. Ant was lovely to work with, responsive and enthusiastic, and really cared about our day and what we wanted. He is also a lovely guy and was so much fun to have there on the day! Ant is so talented and we had so many comments from guests on how brilliant he was. I wish I had video’d the day so I could hear it all over again! I would 100% book Ant again for any live music in the future. Thank you Ant!

After seeing Ant at a friends party, we were really impressed and took his card and after seeing him again at a later date at The Ship in Marlow and we thought, it must have been meant to be and hired him to play at our wedding! Little did we know a global pandemic would get in the way but two years later he was still available and happy to play for us. He had a great repertoire and managed to learn two songs for us (one literally two weeks before the big day!) Ant played for us at our reception and our first set in the evening so everyone got to enjoy some live music and also hear some chilled music as well as some more evening/upbeat songs in the evening. We can't wait to see him play again.

Ant Barnes played four sets at our wedding this August (2021). It was a small wedding of 30 guests and Ant played 2 relaxed sets during the drinks reception and then 2 more lively sets for the evening after dinner. Ant was brilliant in making sure everything was organised well in advance of the day and we spoke a couple of times via Zoom. Everyone absolutely loved the music and Ant was extremely professional throughout the day. Ant read the atmosphere of the day brilliantly and really added to the day. We would highly recommend Ant for anyone thinking of booking him for an event.

We were so pleased to have Ant play during our wedding drinks reception last week. From our first enquiry Ant was prompt and helpful in answering any questions we had in the lead up to the day. Ant was absolutely fantastic. Aside from being a very talented singer and musician; he is incredibly, polite, versatile and overall lovely. He had fantastic communication, we spoke on video before the wedding, emailed and whatsapp’d, he’s very responsive. We discussed song choices and he was very receptive to the specific songs we wanted, including learning to play some new ones. Ant took the initiative on our wedding day, setting himself up and started, before we arrived, for our guests. He was able to be flexible when our timings changed on the day (we had an outside wedding in the UK… It rained when we were supposed to be walking down the aisle still went great, don’t worry). He ran across the field and played without his equipment for the ceremony when we had a break in the rain. We would defiantly recommend him and 100% hire him again for any other musician needs we may have!

I booked Ant to surprise my boyfriend with a marriage proposal on 7th Feb 2021. He was so professional, friendly and down to earth. Great communication & flexibility before the event. It went absolutely perfectly, how I dreamed and he even learned a new song for us. His voice was beautiful and bless his fingers turning purple in the icy cold wind. I will definitely be in touch with Ant when lockdowns & viruses are done with to play at our wedding. Much love Ant, can’t thank you enough! x

This man is a legend & a true artiste. I got in touch with this gentleman to perform a few nice songs while I propose to my girlfriend. Not only did he put his heart out in his songs but he also helped me arrange everything that went into the proposal. From the selection of his songs to the texture of his voice, everything was just outstanding and I'd be ever so grateful to him for making that special moment and evening so memorable!

Ant was a pleasure to deal with, from initial contact via email through to the night of our event. Ant's dialogue and attitude with us was fantastic. He made sure that the songs that we personally requested were learnt and preformed; and that the style and mood of his performance would reflect the theme of our event. What can I say, Ant was just amazing from start to finish. I gave him a very brief overview with a small number of songs and he completely got the vibe. Ant answered the call to perform an online live stream gig for members, volunteers and staff of Chilterns MS Centre. To say he was a hit would be an understatement, with instant requests for him to play again, and positive comments coming from all involved. He took special requests with one being particularly poignant as one member missed out on a Bryan Adams concert because of the lock down!

Ant was an integral part of our wedding and such fun to work with. He listened to exactly what we were after and even though our first dance wasn't already in his repertoire, he more than happily went away and came up with a beautiful arrangement for our big day. I've had the pleasure of seeing Ant play both covers and his own original material and love his work. He has a truly wonderful voice which pulls you in. Ant was recommended to us by a friend to play at our wedding and he was brilliant! He played instrumental covers as our guests arrived at the church, the bride was nearly half an hour late but Ant was more than happy to carry on playing and created a lovely atmosphere in the church which everyone really enjoyed. We asked Ant if he would be able to play and sing our favourite song whilst we signed the register in the church. He learned this specially and it was perfect, and one of the many highlights of our day. Ant also performed some covers as our guests arrived at the reception and everyone loved the live music. We were so lucky to have Ant play at our wedding. When we told him we wanted Led Zeppelin’s Thank-you as our first dance, Ant spent his time learning and perfecting his own cover of the song, which when performed was a moment we will never forget from our day. Ant is really passionate about music so it was great to talk through our play list with him. He is reliable, professional, truly talented and the loveliest guy. We loved Ant’s live music so much we booked him again for a 30th birthday party, which was equally as brilliant.

We have worked with Ant many times over the last couple of years and keep getting him back in to play on account of his strong, versatile voice and sound that suits a wide range of styles and settings, from larger crowds to intimate gigs. Ant can be amazingly flexible with the set list and tailors a performance to suit the crowd. All in all, he’s a great guy and really easy to work with.
