Ashleigh September is a professional jazz vocalist and pianist based in Dubai, UAE, offering sophisticated live music for luxury hotels, restaurants, lounges, weddings, corporate events and private occasions.
With a rich, expressive vocal style and an elegant approach to jazz, Ashleigh performs a carefully curated repertoire spanning jazz standards, swing, soul, blues, bossa nova and sophisticated contemporary favourites. Her musical influences include artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall, Amy Winehouse, Rachelle Ferrell and Samara Joy.
A professionally trained musician with a Bachelor of Music degree and extensive experience as both a vocalist and pianist, Ashleigh brings musicality, versatility and polished stage presence to every performance. Her experience includes performing internationally as well as within the UAE.
Performances can range from intimate, atmospheric background music to engaging featured entertainment, with the repertoire and energy tailored to suit the venue and occasion.
Available performance options include: solo jazz vocalist, vocalist with piano, self-accompanied piano and vocals, jazz duo, trio, and larger ensemble configurations depending on the event.

A suitable performance area with access to a standard power supply. For vocal performances, a professional PA system, vocal microphone and monitor are required. For piano performances, a well-maintained acoustic piano or professional-quality digital piano/keyboard is preferred. Technical requirements can be adapted depending on the performance format and venue.

Sound and lighting equipment is generally expected to be provided by the venue or event organiser. For smaller or private events, equipment requirements can be discussed and arranged in advance if necessary.
Yes. Curated background music can be played before and between live sets where required, either selected to complement the style and atmosphere of the event or based on the client’s preferences.

I usually arrive an hour before the performance to set up. I usually perform 2 x 45 minute sets or 2 x 60 minute sets with a short break in between sets.
Yes, if the weather permits I am happy to play outside but I ask for shade, a flat surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
I can learn specific songs before the event but usually limit this to 5 songs. Clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire.
