Leonard Ticu Ion is a pianist, vocalist and entertainer from Brăila, Romania, with an international career reaching back to 1993. Trained at the George Enescu University in Iași, he has spent decades playing for four- and five-star audiences: piano bars in Italy, the Abou Nawas hotels of Tunisia, Swiss five-star hotels including the Swiss Diamond in Lugano and the Schweizerhof in St Moritz with his duo La Dolce Vita, and long contracts as a trio, duo and show-band pianist for cruise lines including Royal Olympic, Lüftner and Viking.
He plays and sings in English, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Greek, moving easily between jazz, pop, latin, ballroom and evergreens - from Louis Armstrong and Sinatra to Tom Jones and Michael Bublé - and reads an audience instinctively to set the perfect atmosphere.
