For a main show for everyone, we need about an 8x8 space to perform, but this is flexible for a house show. The area must be well lit. For larger groups, if a sound system is being used for the event I need a hands-free wireless microphone (lapel or headset) and can provide one if needed. For walkaround, I will work with the area.
How much space do we have to work with? What is our lighting situation? Can I arrive 30 minutes prior to showtime to set up?
I can provide a sound system for my portion of the event if I am notified ahead of time. There is no extra charge.
I can play music in the time leading up to my show.
I performed for a student conference at a college in Tennessee last year. We had 1200 students there and it was a fantastic show. I also performed on a cruise ship, which was an adventure as well because of the rough water we were in at the time.
I love performing, so any event is a fun one. If I'm doing walkaround, I get to really interact with the people there. If I'm doing a stage show, we get to bring folks up and put them in the spotlight for a while as they have fun with everyone.
I've been performing for over 30 years, ever since I saw someone doing a card trick in person. After that, I knew I wanted to create that feeling of wonder in everyone I met!
It typically takes me about 30 minutes to set up before a show. My stage show usually lasts 45-60 minutes (depending on the event). "An Evening of Deception" lasts for 70-90 minutes.
I can do walkaround outside with not problem. The main show has to be in a well-lit area, and due to the nature of the illusions I use, is better situated for indoors. I can do an outdoor show, but I have to be notified ahead of time so I can adjust the magic we are bringing.
Amazing, fun, unexpected, and wild.
