Christy's musical journey began at 16 when he won a local talent show and used the prize money to buy his first guitar. This pivotal moment set him on a path from his hometown in Ireland to becoming one of Dubai's most sought-after performers.
Christy went on to study music at a university-level, and found his true calling in Dubai's vibrant live music scene. For the past three years, he has become a fixture at some of the city's most popular venues, from the lively atmosphere of McGettigan’s and McCafferty’s to the luxurious settings of Anantara the Palm.
Christy's repertoire covers the raw energy of rock, the hearfelt twang of country, and catchy pop melodies with soulful blues rhythms. Christy’s ability to move effortlessly between genres, paired with his proactive approach to taking crowd requests, makes every set feel personal and interactive. He actively engages with his audience and looks for opportunities to play the songs they want to hear, creating a lively experience that keeps crowds connected from start to finish.

The best gig I have ever done was in my grandfathers pub in Ireland. It was a proud moment for my family and the atmosphere was great!
I love all types of events but I especially love to interact with the crowd and take their songs requests. Any setting that lets me do this suits me best!

I usually arrive 45 minutes before performance to set up. My set up is very minimal but I like to get in early to relax a bit before hand. I am used to playing 3x45 minute sets but open to any timings
Yes I am very happy to play outside provided I am out of direct sunlight if it is a hot day
I am very open to client preferences and will prioritise their requests as much as possible
They would say they are a mix of upbeat and intimate, getting the crowd going and also being able to play something more slow and powerful if the mood allows!
