Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

We have worked with high profile artists, composers, conductors. I guess the best gig would be down to personal taste.

What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We met in London whilst performing together in different settings. We all wanted to play in a quartet and decided to make it happen. Our first gig as a quartet was at merchant Taylor’s hall in London.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We have been influenced by many classical, pop and rock artists over the years.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We try our best to be flexible and ensure your event runs smoothly.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We usually set up about 1 hour before the performance. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We can perform outside. If we are playing outdoors we need shelter from rain / direct sun to protect our instruments.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We have a set repertoire list, but the clients can also request a specific piece.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Cinematic Strings were fantastic!
Our guests adored their work, and the song choice was beautiful.
