Clover Rebel Band are one of Ireland's best authentic Irish bands, having toured all over Ireland, USA, UK, Australia and Europe. Clover formed in 2003 in Co. Limerick and have gone from strength to strength, from humble beginnings and playing local venues in Co Limerick and surrounding areas to completing a first successful three week tour of USA in March 2025 playing in some of Boston’s, New York’s and Cape Cod’s iconic venues like The Dubliner of Boston, Connolly’s of Time Square and The Emerald Resort.
Clover compromise of 3 performers, Pól Ó Sherin (Co Limerick) playing guitar and on vocals, Trevor Ó Coileáin (Co Clare) on accordion, vocals and foot drum, and Michéal Ó Ó’gan (Limerick City) on vocals and bass guitar. These three musicians and singers bring a sound and feel of a big stage band with their energetic and quality performances and have pleased audiences on many a memorable and notable night.
Clover perform a mixture of Irish rebel and modern folk music with a set of songs that are Wolfe Tones classics, The Pogues, The Dubliners to name a few and many more, along with historical stories about these songs and perhaps the odd joke thrown in for good measure.
Clover are no strangers to the big stage and have played some notable shows, opening for The Wolfe Tones in the Charleville Park Hotel Co Cork, performing at the 2018 Limerick All Ireland winning homecoming in The Gaelic Grounds, performing in Thomond Park in July 2025 after The Wolfe Tones Farewell Tour, performing on Easter Sunday for the past few years in The Roddy McCorley Heritage Centre West Belfast, and opening for Derek Warfield and The Young Wolfe Tones in The Irish Social Club of Boston on St Patrick’s weekend in March 2025.
Clover have recorded 5 successful albums, 2 in studio albums and 3 live albums. Clover are committed to continuing the culture and keeping the story of Ireland alive through these songs and stories while bringing the energy expected of a live band.
Clover have always been friends of charitable organisations, with Trevor performing a charity beard and head shave during the Covid Pandemic and raising over €4,500 for the Mater Foundation fundraising body of the Mater Hospital in Dublin. Clover also take part in many group charity events, most recently performing at The Carrig Rocks Festival, Carrigtwohil Co Cork raising funds for Marymount Hospice, and The Irish Kidney Association. Clover also played at an event in Limerick City raising funds for Novas Homeless charity based in Limerick City.
