Coffee Shop Acoustic is established in Autumn of 2014 by Tomislav and Marijan. At first, we were playing some small gigs all over our original region (Kvarner). Only year later, we achieved the average of 150 appearances per year in homeland and in overseas. In almost 4 years of our first appearance, we have built up our technical equipment and we have extended the repertoire, so today we have around 50 new covers at the start of every summer season.
We build our repertoire together, making sure our audience will like it as much as we like to work on it. Every new song is new story for us and we are trying, note-by-note, to inspire the new life of well known melody.

Yes, we are completely self contained. We bring our own PA system. We also bring 4 x wash lights, 6 LED spots
We have prepared neutral international play list. Client can connect device and choose the music. Only analog (cable) connection is possible.
It's hard to choose only one. We could mention gigs at open air stage in Crikvenica (Summer acoustic mondays) at central square, attending more than 1000 people dancing. Also, great gigs were at Klingenstock hotel, Stoos (CH). Club gigs with happy loud people - dancing and singing with us, almost every Friday and Saturday...
We love playing at all sorts of events. It's not important whether that is wedding or birthday party. It's important that we are with (and for) people who want to enjoy the party and our music.
We were playing in several bands from 1993 (we were young and local wannabe musicians), all kind of gigs, mostly in our area. Later some of us decided to continue with playing and singing, so, here we are, 33 years later, still on stage.
We came from different backgrounds and listened to different music. Our musical common ground is definitely classic rock and blues, country... Performers like: Queen, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Sting... have marked our musical knowledge and experience of music. Of course, there are a whole range of other great and important performers of pop, rock, hard rock music that we have listened to at some stage in our lives: Iron Maiden, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Guns 'n' Roses, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix... to Elton John, Abba... We realized, doing this job, that the only criterion is whether the music is good. If the music and the lyrics are good, the arrangement is all that distinguishes it from other songs... In the end, all of that goes through our "scissors" and ends up in an acoustic arrangement.
We usually arrive at the performance 2 hours before the start. We need 1 hour for set-up and sound check. This is followed by changing and freshening up and the start. We usually play 4 x 45 minutes, but also in other combinations, depending on the wishes of the client. Sometimes we play 5 or 6 sets, but we try to avoid these situations, since it is very tiring to play acoustic music (barely arranged and without many instruments).
Actually, it doesn't matter to us. We play where there are people. However, in the winter months we ask for heaters to be provided on stage, primarily because our fingers, when they freeze, become unruly.
Our repertoire covers a relatively wide range - by genre, by decade, by country. We try to make sure that the repertoire is full of smash hits and that everyone knows what we play. However, when it comes to weddings or birthday parties, clients sometimes ask us for a song that is not in the repertoire, but which is important to them for some reason. Of course, we learn that song (if it is feasible in an acoustic version). The first song that comes to mind that we think would sound bad acoustically is: Prodigy: "Firestarter"...
They often comment on how fantastic our repertoire is and how they often thought there were more than 3 or 4 of us on stage. They are often impressed by our vocals and how compact and energetic we sound. Everyone notices that we have very few slow, easy songs and that we concentrate on songs with a lot of rhythm and tempo, just for fun and dancing.
