His exciting performances bring class, fun, nostalgia, and humor. Do you enjoy the musical stylings of Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, and Harry James? Chuck Par-due is ready to impress! This one man show brings all his own equipment required for a successful performance.

Chuck Par-Due’s Musical Biography:

Chuck Par-Due has established himself as one of the finest interpreters of the great American classic standards in the nation. He is not a Frank Sinatra imitator, rather he proves that he understands Sinatra’s phrasing as perhaps no other vocalist.

Chuck Par-Due’s great voice, excellent stage presence and charisma have thrilled audiences wherever he has performed. With his own unique vocal styling and dynamic trumpet solos, Chuck has packed clubs and ballrooms all across the United States.

In a musical career that has spanned over 50 years, Chuck Par-Due has toured the country as a trumpet soloist and vocalist with several prominent big bands and jazz combos. In 1986, Chuck had the privilege of performing for President Ronald Reagan. That same year, Chuck had the honor of performing for soon to be President George H. Bush. In 1999, Chuck performed for the NEC World Series of Golf, and witnessed a Tiger Woods victory.

In addition, Chuck Par-Due has been featured on numerous radio and television shows, and has appeared at some of the most prestigious venues all the way from California to Florida. As a trumpet player, Chuck has performed the music Of Harry James, Glenn Miller and other big band giants. Chuck has performed with some of the most famous musicians and bands of all time, including: Bob Haggart, Helen Forrest, the Jimmy Farr Orchestra, the Pete Wagner Orchestra, the Queen City Jazz Band, Lee Arrellano, Joni Janek, and many others.

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

For local venues, I supply my own audio equipment.
For longer travel distance just a microphone, and if I use backing tracks, access to a DVD player, microphone, mixer and speakers.


What information do you require about a venue?

Location, room size, approximately how large the audience is. Occasion.


Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

If within 100 miles I bring my own sound equipment.

I have performed for three US Presidents, and also performed for Bob and Delores Hope.

I love all events, as they all bring their own joy and challenges.


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I began leading a band at the age of 17. I have been a trumpet soloist for over five decades.


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Harry James, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble.

My favourite song is "You'll Never Know."

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

As a soloist, both vocal and trumpet, two hours is a complete show.
I usually arrive an hour early, and tear down is 30 minutes.


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, weather permitting.


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Where appropriate.

Thrilling, exciting, thoughtful, engaging.


What would a concert featuring you as a soloist with a Big Band be like.

The great Harry James was my Friend and Mentor.
I can perform an entire concert with a Big Band, using actual original arrangements from the Harry James Orchestra library.


Are you a Frank Sinatra Impersonator?

I am not a Sinatra Impersonator.

I perform the original Sinatra selections, with the knowledge of his style, and applying my musical understanding.

I would gladly challenge any Frank Sinatra to a contest, with the winner being audience response!
