Originally formed from a duo called DOUBLE DEE over 25 years ago, Dale performs in Clubs, Pubs, private functions and charity events most weekends, entertaining all age groups and travelling anywhere between Lincoln and London.
Originally taught the basics by his father, Dale has mastered the guitar by playing along to records of instrumentals 40 years ago from Hank Marvin and The Shadows, and many more. His vocal talent came into being whilst singing with several bands since school and finely honed during his duo act over the last 20 years.
His repertoire includes many hits and genres from the 50’s through to the present day, and with his line-up of Fender and Burns guitars, can provide a varied Hank Marvin/Shadows tribute act if required. He still performs with the duo on occasions.
Finally, not only providing live music, his act can provide discos, usually at weddings and birthdays. The disco comes complete with a large selection of different music genres and has a comprehensive light show.

Best gig was as the duo Double Dee playing on an outdoor stage for BBC Music Live as the warm-up act for the big event (Perfect Day live around the UK).
Best gig as a band (trio) for my mate’s wedding reception in Las Vegas (2 Sep 23). Guitar (me) bass and drums. We showed the venue how Brits rock. We were offered a weekly performance as resident musicians. Shame we had real jobs and live in UK!!
Favourite events are where the audience like to party and enjoy themselves. Even quiet places are rewarding when you see them foot tapping or singing along.
I was taught the basics by my Dad when I was 14. I learnt by playing along to records (especially The Shadows), and started to record my own backing tracks. First gigs were nervous but I got by. Then as technology improved I stepped up to Minidiscs and them MP3s. I now record my own tracks in a home studio. I also perform with a couple of bands on a few occasions, and attend local jam night as an almost ‘resident’ guitarist.
The Shadows with Hank Marvin are my major influences. I can perform a Hank Marvin tribute at times with the apex and wig. I also like Dire Straits and Chris Rea, plus The Stray Cats and Queen, plus many other guitar greats.
Solo set-up, with either 3 x 30 min sets or 2 x 45 sets, but I cater to the venue requirements and breaks.
I have performed outside on various occasions (weather permitting).
I take requests and remain flexible to the clients. I ‘read the crowd’ whilst performing to evaluate their styles of music they like.
