A sheltered, quiet performance area is essential, either indoors or under cover, to protect the harp from weather elements such as direct sunlight, wind, or rain. The space should provide a minimum of 1.5m x 1.5m for the harp. For larger venues, access to a power outlet is required for amplification.

The best gig I've ever had was performing for Princess Beatrix, the former Queen of the Netherlands. It was an incredible honour to play for such a distinguished audience, and the experience is one I’ll never forget.

My favourite type of event is concerts and intimate weddings. I love performing and make people happy and open their hearts. And I love making wedding couple’s special day even more special. There's something incredibly special about providing the soundtrack to such a meaningful day, and the personal connection with the couple and their guests makes the performance truly memorable.

I have over 35 years of experience as a professional harpist, having performed at prestigious international festivals such as the Salzburger Festspiele and the World Harp Congress, and worked with renowned conductors like Jaap van Zweden and Mstislav Rostropovich. I served as the principal harpist for the Symphony Orchestra of The Hague for 15 years, which gave me a wealth of experience in both solo and ensemble settings.

I started gigging after completing my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I was part of the Young Talent Department. From there, my career grew through opportunities to perform at major festivals and collaborate with leading orchestras. This journey led me to expand into playing for weddings, events, and more intimate performances, where I could connect more personally with my audience.

I typically arrive one hour before the performance to set up and tune the harp. My performance times can vary from 15 minutes for shorter events to several hours, depending on the occasion. I’m flexible with the duration and can adjust to suit the specific needs of your event.

As long as the conditions are suitable for the instrument, I’m more than happy to perform in outdoor settings. If neccessary a shelter should be provided to protect the harp from direct sunlight, wind, or rain.
