Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require an ac/dc plug and adaquete lightin and a chair without arms . If the event has more than 50 people then a P.A. will be required which is an additional cost of 300 dollars per 50 people over that amount. I have an amplifier for the smaller events.

What information do you require about a venue?

Directions to the address and what building and room I will be performing in. The date and time . For custom music packages more information will be needed that I will get in the onboarding call.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

I do not provide lighting equipment. I have an amp, but for larger crowds a P.A. will be needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

As a band member I have opened for "Overflow" who had two top 20 hits on Christian Radio. I have played over 1200 times in churches, retirement communities, weddings, and other venues.

What's your favourite type of event?

I like them all. Background music is fun since it is the easiest for me and I get to only do music which is fun. But I enjoy sharing my story and information about the music in concert events as well.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Graduated UNCSA and attended Berklee and Brevard College. Played in many bands and performed as a soloist over 1200 times. Started gigging in 1990 while studying with Aaron Shearer who had the most competition winner students in the world and 13 books with Mel Bay Publishing.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Too many too count. Many classical rock artists, classical artists, jazz artists, folk artists, and maybe a few country artists.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Usually after 11 am . and anything that early usually has to be local or I have to charge a travel fee for overnight stay. 2:30 or 3pm is common. or 7pm is common. I usually get there about an hour early to set up and takes about 30 minutes to tear down after. Performances typically are 1-3hrs.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes in good weather. I recommend having an alternate venue in case of rain as I can not refund last minute cancellations, Preferrably a place in the shade as it can be too hot in the sun.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I have over on hundred pieces to choose from including classical repertoire, hymns popular song transcriptions for solo guitar, and christmas music.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Soothing, relaxing, inspiring and meditative is often used to describe them. Also, I have had 13 different people say I was the best performer at their venue. 3 said I was the best guitarist they had heard. I mean I'm pretty good, but they must be deprived people. Lol!
