Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I can provide a fully self-contained DJ and live sax setup, including sound system and DJ equipment. I require a suitable performance area with access to standard power outlets and enough space for the DJ setup and saxophone performance. For larger events, the exact sound and power requirements can be discussed in advance based on the venue and number of guests.

What information do you require about a venue?

I would need the venue address, access and loading information, the location of the performance area, and any relevant restrictions such as sound limiters, curfews or noise regulations. It is also useful to know the approximate number of guests and the layout of the event so I can make sure the setup and performance work seamlessly within the space.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes. I can provide a professional, self-contained DJ and sound setup suitable for private parties, weddings, corporate events and other celebrations. Lighting can also be provided where required, with the setup tailored to the size and style of the event.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. I can provide continuous music before, between and after my live performances, so there is no awkward silence between sets. Music can be carefully selected to suit the atmosphere of the event, from relaxed background music during drinks and dinner to more energetic music as the evening progresses. I am also happy to work from the client's preferred music choices and requests.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of my biggest highlights was performing with Ministry of Sound UK, playing to a combined audience of around 12,000 people across 12 performances. It was an incredible experience and gave me the opportunity to perform at a large scale while working alongside one of the UK's most recognised names in electronic music.

What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings are definitely a favourite, particularly because they allow me to combine different aspects of the service throughout the day. I love starting with sophisticated background music and live saxophone during drinks and dinner, then moving into a high-energy DJ and live sax performance for the dancefloor.

I also really enjoy private parties and corporate events where the music can be tailored to the audience and the atmosphere can develop throughout the night.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started performing professionally through my work as a multi-instrumentalist, with saxophone and DJing becoming a natural extension of my live performance work. Over the years I’ve performed at weddings, private parties, corporate events, hotels and restaurants, as well as larger-scale shows.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been influenced by artists across funk, soul, pop, jazz and electronic music, particularly artists who combine strong musicianship with great energy and an ability to connect with an audience. My favourite artists include Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

As for the greatest song of all time, I’d have to go with “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire — it has everything you want from a great party record: incredible musicianship, an instantly recognisable groove and the ability to get almost any crowd moving.

My background:

I’m a professional musician and multi-instrumentalist, and music has been a central part of my life for many years. I play piano, guitar, drums and saxophone, which gives me a broad musical perspective and a strong understanding of what makes a great live performance.

My approach to events

For me, the best part of performing is reading the room and seeing the energy change as the night develops. I don't believe in simply pressing play on a playlist — I like to be involved, interact with the atmosphere and make the music feel like part of the event.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally allow around 1–2 hours for setup, depending on the venue and equipment requirements. My performances are flexible and can be tailored to the event, from a 60–75 minute live sax set to longer DJ sets with live saxophone integrated throughout.

For weddings and private events, I can also provide music before, between and after the main performance, creating a continuous musical experience throughout the event.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I’m happy to perform outdoors. I require a flat, stable performance area, access to power and, where possible, some protection from direct sunlight and adverse weather. For outdoor events, the equipment must be kept protected from rain and excessive moisture.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely. I’m happy to work with the client’s preferences and build the music around the atmosphere and audience. Clients can provide must-play songs, favourite artists, genres and specific requests, while I use my experience as a DJ to read the room and choose the right music at the right time.

For live saxophone, I have an extensive repertoire but can also discuss specific song requests in advance.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Energetic, professional and engaging. Clients often appreciate the combination of a professional DJ set with the spontaneity and excitement of live saxophone. My aim is to read the room, adapt to the audience and create a performance that gets people involved rather than simply providing background music.
