About EducArte
EducArte is a Brazilian-founded and run performing arts organization with a Brazilian executive director, board members, staff, and artists. Through Brazilian cultural arts, we connect local Brazilians with each other and the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) region. Founded in 2015 by Brazilian musician and producer Pablo de Oliveira and dancer-scholar Kate Spanos, EducArte is the premier Brazilian performing arts organization in the Greater Washington region. We support local performing arts presenters in diversifying their offerings and audiences, including organizations such as Live Nation, Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, Birchmere, The Clarice, Glen Echo Park Partnership for the Arts, Creative Alliance. We have also received support from the Embassy and Consulate of Brazil in Washington, DC, for our engagement work with the local Brazilian community.
