Erika Soteri is a British-Cypriot singer-songwriter of Italian and Middle-Eastern heritage, whose distinctive sound blends contemporary R&B and soul with jazz sophistication, Latin rhythms and Mediterranean influences. Defined by her velvet-smooth yet striking vocals, emotionally incisive songwriting and magnetic stage presence, Erika brings a timeless sensibility to contemporary music, creating a sound that is both deeply personal and unmistakably her own.

Exploring identity, desire, relationships and the complexities of human connection, her music pairs lyrical vulnerability with rich musicality and an instinctive feel for melody. Equally at home in intimate, stripped-back performances and full-band productions, Erika is an artist whose voice, songwriting and live presence form the foundation of a compelling and evolving musical identity.

Her career gained early momentum with Pablo, her debut neo-jazz single released in 2018, before she reached the semi-finals of The Voice of Greece in 2019, bringing her vocal talent and artistic presence to a wider audience. She subsequently graduated with First Class Honours in BA (Hons) Music Industry Practice from the Academy of Contemporary Music in the UK, where she trained under established industry professionals, including Jono McNeil (Michael Bublé, Nelly, George Ezra), Katie Hector (Emeli Sandé, Jessie J, Tom Jones), and Brian Henry (Soul II Soul, Chaka Khan, Incognito).

Since then, Erika has built a growing live presence across Cyprus, Greece and the UK, performing at respected events and festivals including Athens Jazz, the Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase, Moonwalk Festival, Fengaros Festival and Fengaros Reacts. Her recent career milestone saw her open for the legendary The Jacksons, sharing the stage with one of music’s most iconic groups. The performance marked a significant moment in her artistic journey, bringing her contemporary soul sound to a major live audience.

On 25th July 2025, Erika released her debut EP, Virtue & Sin, an assured introduction to her artistry as a singer-songwriter. Moving between contemporary R&B, soul and Latin-inflected arrangements, the five-track collection explores the tensions between desire and restraint, vulnerability and strength, and freedom and consequence. The project showcases her versatility while establishing a cohesive musical direction rooted in expressive vocals, sophisticated arrangements and storytelling.

The EP’s bilingual single I Would Die For You, performed in English and Greek, became a defining milestone in Erika’s career. Exactly one year after its release, the song received three awards from Cult Experiences: Best Vocals, Best Lyrics and Best Song. Recognised for its vocal performance, lyrical depth and emotional resonance, the track highlights Erika’s ability to create music that connects across languages and cultures.
