Trained in Yorkners (New York City) at the New York School of Piano Tuning and Repair, I offer basic tuning repair services to owners of pianos in the GTA. Unlike many self-taught piano technicians, I'm trainned by those working in major music institutionsin New York City who know their stuff, what to do, what NOT to do, when a specialist is needed for a specific goal. As a newcomer to the piano technicians world I am offering discount tunings to get myself established. Basic tuings, and minor repairs. For major repairs/adjustments I can refer to some of the best restorers/specialists in Ontario whose work I can personally testify to. If your not sure who to contact, or your preferred tuners is unavailable and need your tuning "cleaned" a newcomer with an ear that "serves you well" (quote from instructor Rrafael Carrasquillo), would love to help you out. For basic tunings, the piano should be tuned minimum of once within 12 months. Ideally within 6 months.
Type of piano (grand/upright) in your home, and whether you need more than tuning. Minor repairs and action lubricating can be done. More advanced areas like voicing I prefer to a specialist, at least for now.
