Olé Chicas Flamenco is a Flamenco group consisting of up to four trained Flamenco dancers in Perth WA. Monica, Eloise, Annalisa and Sophie have been dancing and teaching the art of Flamenco at Danza Viva Spanish Dance Academy for many years. Along with guitarist Will and percussionist Moira who contribute authenic sound and rhythm to the dancers.
Passionate and experienced, the group bring a range of talents to the table; castanet playing, dancing with a guitarist and percussionist, and complex footwork.
The group has had experience dancing at events, concerts, festivals, parties, Fringe shows etc.

How much space there is for dancers and musicians to perform.
What the flooring is like.
We bring our own sound system.
We can provide our own music, may need someone to press play. Will need a speaker to connect to if using recorded music.
We like to arrive at least an hour before the performance to set up. If we do not have a good floor to dance on we will bring our own flooring. Flamenco dance requires a good hardwood floor to dance on, carpet will not work. Sound system/ microphones will need to be set up for our guitarists/ singer (we bring our own equipment), or we need a speaker to connect recorded music .
We normally perform a 30-40 min set, including at least 3-5 dances, ranging from traditional, classical, and contemporary styles. At least 2-3 solo performances, and a partner dance or group dance.
We are happy to perform outside as long as we have a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We typically have a set list of dances / songs. However if enough notice is given, the guitarists/ dancers may be able to learn something new (e.g., if there is a specific song request or Flamenco Palos).
Previous clients have described us as a fantastic troupe of dancers with an excellent guitar player and percussionist on the cajon.
