The very first time we heard Gemma Ashley sing, she performed "In the Arms of an Angel" on a YouTube channel. We absolutely loved her voice and knew she would be the ideal singer for our Christmas wedding in 2022, and we were so fortunate that our wedding date suited her diary. Little did we know, then, that Gemma would - in a metaphorical sense - come to provide those very angelic, reassuring arms for us on our wedding day, as we were faced with a number of unexpected challenges (including train strikes, snow chaos, and traffic delays). It all added to the stresses of the day, particularly for the bridal party, who were not sure they would even make it to wedding in time. However, the moment we entered the Church and were met by Gemma's soaring aria as she performed her opening song to the Groom ("Nella Fantasia"), any worries and anxieties magically disappeared. Instead, a wonderful sense of calm and serenity descended - like arms of an angel - where Gemma's song, accompanied on the piano by amazing Paolo Freitas, literally transported us to a breathtakingly beautiful, almost etheral, space in time. From that point, everything fell into place, and Gemma became our guiding light and steadfast beacon for the rest of the day and evening. Not only was she our amazing soprano for our wedding ceremony, singing five songs in four different languages (Italian, Latin, Portuguese and English!), but she single-handedly provided the full musical entertainment for our wedding reception, covering everything from Depeche Mode to Abba - and even led the wedding party in a surprise Les Miserables flash mob! We are indebted to Gemma for making our wedding day the huge and unforgettable success that it was; her work ethic and professionalism is second to none, and her warmth, great sense of humour and generosity of spirit is something we will never forget. We feel we did not just hire a singer for our special day, but a true artist who engaged everyone with her presence and creative performance, and who has become a friend for life. We cannot recommend Gemma enough. She will bring joy and light and life-time memories to any special events, giving 110% until the very moment the lights go out for the night. Perhaps the greatest testament to the lasting effect that Gemma had on our wedding day was when the Priest himself leaned over and whispered to us during the ceremony: "Where did you find this singer? She is fantastic." We would only like to add that choosing this lovely young woman to sing at our wedding, and at the reception, was one of the best, if not the best, decision, that we made when arranging our wedding. Gemma was amazing, such a fab performer and knew exactly what songs worked well and was so engaged with wedding party! Incredible voice, could not have wished for more! Very professional yet down to earth, relaxed and so easy to talk too, would highly recommend.

We booked Gemma after looking at a couple of YouTube video's for our wedding. We also asked whether she could sing our song which wasn't on her repertoire and not one we'd heard anyone else cover. Follow You, Follow Me by Genesis. She did the song justice and sung it superbly. Gemma was punctual and very easy to get on with. So many people commented afterwards as to how good she was and the fact they thought is was a record being played. She effortlessly switched between different musical genres, slow, fast, classical, jazz & contemporary. We had only booked her for the ceremony and now wish we'd had her services for the rest of the day/evening in place of the DJ. Would so recommend Gemma and just need to find an excuse to book her again. Amazing voice. Thank you.

Gemma was more than fantastic ! The atmosphere and voice made our setting at Hever Castle spectacular and really set the mood. Gemma was very professional and had a lot of my guests in tears when I walked down the aisle (for a happy reason) because her voice was beautiful. I would definitely recommend Gemma. Gemma's singing was superb and it made our day so special - all of our guests commented on this afterwards. She was also very professional both in the lead up to the wedding, and on the day itself. She was happy to help with all of our questions and I really appreciated her advice on the timings of my entrance song!

Gemma was fantastic. Every one in the church at my Daughter's Wedding Day was amazed to this wonderful gift that I gave her and her husband on their wedding day, such a beautiful voice that she produced and to most people as we heard on the day were amazed to see Gemma sing as she expressed herself with heartfelt meaning. My daughter and her husband were so emotional and it was their highlight of the day. Gemma is not only a wonderfully talented singer but a true professional. She arranged my walk in music and was happy to edit the music perfectly to how I wanted. She is an expert at weddings so the way she arranged the music and the timing were perfect. I Don't think I could have done it without her. All of my guests were astounded at the sound of her voice and felt like they had experienced something truly special, which they certainly had. It was talked about all day and ever since.
