Get Real only plays #1 hits.
Rock. Pop. Alternative. Country. No deep cuts. No filler. Only songs you know every word to.
Four pieces or seven, we come to get you moving—and we go all out. Relentless energy. Huge choruses. And plenty of chances to lose your voice with us.
We’ll sing with you. We’ll head into the crowd. We are going to hand you the mic.
Festivals, corporate events, private parties, clubs— give us a stage and a crowd, and we’re ready.
Ten people or a thousand. We play like the place is packed. You're always getting the full show.
By the end of the night, you’re part of the band.

We need a performance space suitable for at least four band members, with enough room for a highly mobile lead singer. We require at least two independent 120v AC power circuits near the performance area, plus a minimum of two nearby parking spaces.
- When you want us to arrive and when you want us to perform
- Where we are playing, loading-in and parking
- Who we are playing for (who is the target audience for set shaping)
- Whether there is already PA and/or Lighting (and is there a staffed tech?)
Yes! We have a full PA and stage-lighting setup. In addition, all our instruments have LED lighting on or inside them.
Yes. We can provide a DJ service before and after the performance as well as between sets. The client can choose the music. If we are choosing the music, we maintain our #1 hits only rule.
Our favourite gigs are the ones where we get to play for big, energetic crowds. Headlining Canada Day in Streetsville, Mississauga, for a crowd in the thousands is a definite standout. For us, the best venues are the ones with clear, reliable communication well in advance, and where the production team works with us on sound, staging, and technical requirements so everyone can put on the best possible show.
Any event with a crowd ready to join us in embracing the fun of live music and genuine performance.
Every member has extensive gigging experience with other projects, including tribute bands, cruise ship bands, and all sorts of festivals. This band formed from connected pieces of those previous acts -- we have all played together in some form for several years. Since then we have been in-demand.
As a band, we are inspired by upper-echelon cover acts such as Dwanye Gretzky, Switchbeat, The Free Label, and The Jade Monkeys,
As for personal influences, our singer is a die hard Aerosmith fan and you can see Steven Tyler in his theatrics. Our guitarist's biggest influence is Tommy Emmanuel (yes, he can play Classical Gas -- and it went #1 too). Our drummer's idol is Animal from the Muppets, and our bassist, like all bassists, only listens to bands with "fish" in their name (including spelling it with a 'Ph').
When there is not an early load-in time, we arrive at least two hours before the performance at venues we are unfamiliar with. We use this time not only for setting up and checking sound, but to chat with patrons 1-on-1 prior to the show starting (where applicable). We play shows with varying performance times. We are prepared to play up to 4 x 45 minute sets as needed.
Yes! We are Canadians, we can bear both the cold and the heat. If sunny, we ask for shade or can provide our own covering.
We take requests prior to show dates, but our #1 hits ONLY rule always applies.
You can check out our testimonials on our website! In general, we're renowned for our relentless energy and audience involvement. Our singer spends nearly as much time in the crowd as he does on stage. Even the rest of the band leaves the stage to join the crowd at moments, including the drummer even when he otherwise shouldn't.
We mean it had to reach #1 on the charts or we don't play it. Which charts? These ones:
