As a vocalist, Harry has a flair for modern-day versions of the classic old songs of Ireland, England, and Scotland.

He is, however, equally at home with Country, intermixed with 60’s to present-day hits. Songs of the Isles is a musical journey to the British Isles and his native Ireland, and the title of his latest album.

In 2004, Harry performed Irelands Call (Irish Rugby Anthem) at the two rugby Test Matches between The Springboks and Ireland. Twenty years later on July 13th 2024 Harry yet again performed The Irish Rugby Anthem at the 2nd Test Match between South Africa and Ireland.

Harry has been a resident Quizmaster for 14 years at Hooters Umhlanga Rocks Durban, South Africa, and presents his quiz in a very polished and relaxed manner.

Music Bingo, which has taken the world by storm, is another string to Harry’s bow. It is played in the same way as normal bingo but instead of numbers, a 30second snippet of the song is played, and the title is announced. “All of the songs have been chosen and edited personally and cover the hits from the 60s to the present day”. It is a fun time for all ages and can be tailored to suit the audience.

The Mature DJ: As Harry always says,” Every Song a Hit, Evert Hit a Memory” ... Harry is a child of the Sixties, a teenager of the Seventies, and leaves no stone unturned a to keep the crowd wanting more.

Harry Monks has performed in Ireland and the UK, at all major venues in Southern Africa as well as South Korea. He has appeared on TV variety shows throughout his musical career and, interestingly, has also featured many times as a Celebrity Chef.
