If you've missed the last train to Clarksville, or just want to be a day tripper, then the Flares are the ideal trio for that hippie trip down memory lane.
So, dust off your bell-bottoms, grab your love beads and get ready for some musical magic conjured up from three top local musicians.
Featuring powerful vocals from Dawn combined with the energy-filled guitar and vocals from Brian and Shep, The Flares recreate the grooviest of songs, starting with the British Invasion through to the flower power music of the early 70s...
The members of the band are all extremely experienced professional musicians with a sound that catches the essence of the time. Just like a sixties band that has come back to the future. The compact line up ensures fantastic sound without breaking the bank, or if you have no budget constraints, why not book the five-piece version?

For trio we need 2 parking places and 4 parking spaces for full band.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
We provide appropriate background music during any performance breaks and can play a Spotify playlist on request.
We have performed at various festivals in the mid north coast area including the Taree Taste and River Festivals and were voted most popular act two years in a row at the Slice of Haven Festival.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. If the power is by diesel generator it must be properly earthed.
We have a standard 'variable" set but, given enough warning we can add a requested song to the set as long as it's suitable to our style.
"I was amazed at their versatility, professionalism and the depth of their repertoire" and "Hippie Flares took us back in time for a great night out. Singing and dancing to the music of our younger years did wonders for our souls."
