A flat, dry and safe performance area of approximately 3 x 2 metres is required, together with one standard 230V power outlet close to the performance area. For outdoor events, adequate protection from rain, strong wind and direct sun must be provided. Reasonable access for loading and unloading is also required.

Please provide the full venue address, estimated number of guests, event schedule, indoor or outdoor setting, available performance space and power supply. Information about parking, loading access, stairs, sound restrictions and the distance from the vehicle to the performance area is also helpful.

A professional sound system suitable for small and medium-sized events can be provided. Basic stage lighting can also be arranged if required. For larger events or venues with special production requirements, an existing venue system or hired technical production may be necessary and will be quoted separately.

Yes. Background music can be played from a dedicated music player before the performance and during the breaks. I can provide a suitable prepared playlist, or the client can send their music preferences in advance. Custom playlists and specific requested tracks require prior arrangement and may involve an additional preparation charge. A full DJ service is available separately by agreement.

One of my most memorable recent performances was a charity event in the Algarve. The audience was fully engaged, the atmosphere was emotional and a private booking came directly from that performance. For me, the best venues are not necessarily the biggest ones, but the places where the audience is close, listening and genuinely connected to the music.

I especially enjoy private parties, corporate events and special celebrations where live music is an important part of the atmosphere. The best events are those where guests start by listening, connect emotionally, then sing along and become part of the performance.

I have more than 30 years of experience as a singer, guitarist and live performer. I started playing on my own, later in bands and gradually developed into a versatile solo performer, songwriter, event musician and session host. Over the years I have performed in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Croatia and Portugal, from small intimate venues to larger public events. Since leaving Germany, I have performed regularly in bars, restaurants, private events and community events across the Algarve.

This is a difficult question to answer, because the greatest song of all time is usually the song that fits my current mood. It might be “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith, “Hot for Teacher” by Van Halen or “Life by the Drop” by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Choosing just one is impossible.

My guitar influences include Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Slash. As a singer, I love Steven Tyler, Chris Robinson and Kai Hansen. But there are many more artists I love and it's not enough space to mention them here. Questions like this are almost unfair — there is simply too much great music.

Setup and soundcheck usually take between 20 and 90 minutes, depending on access, venue size and technical requirements. A typical booking consists of 2 x 45-minute live sets, although 3 x 40-minute sets or a different schedule can be arranged to suit the event.

Absolutely, outdoor performances are very welcome. A flat and stable performance area, a safe power supply and adequate protection from rain, strong wind and direct sun are required. Weather conditions must be suitable for both the performance and the equipment.

Clients are welcome to choose favourites from my repertoire and to discuss the musical direction of the event in advance. “Must-play” and “do-not-play” requests are also welcome. Special songs that are not already in my repertoire may be prepared with sufficient notice and may involve an additional preparation charge.
