India Shania is a contemporary acoustic-pop singer-songwriter hailing from South Shields in the UK. Known for her delicate yet powerful voice, she creates music that blends heartfelt storytelling with soothing acoustic instrumentation. Her style resonates with listeners who appreciate emotional authenticity and stripped-back arrangements, drawing comparisons to influential artists such as Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman, and Joni Mitchell, while also incorporating the emotive intensity of modern voices like Adele and the atmospheric subtleties of Billie Eilish.
Her songs often explore deeply personal themes—self-discovery, love, healing, and resilience—delivered with lyrics that feel both intimate and universal. She writes with a raw honesty that captures life’s vulnerable moments, turning them into melodies that comfort and inspire. The production style typically emphasizes warm acoustic guitar, gentle piano chords, and minimalistic beats, allowing her vocals to remain the emotional center of each track.
India Shania began gaining attention with her debut single, “My Journey,” released in October 2024. This song introduced audiences to her introspective approach, marked by haunting vocals and a simple yet powerful arrangement. Following this, she released tracks like “A Lovely Man,” “Voice on the Line,” and “Dear Surgeon,” each exploring different shades of human emotion—from romantic devotion to heartbreak and healing. Her more recent works, including “Wanderlust,” “Fading Lights,” and “Breathe Again,” showcase her evolution as an artist, adding richer textures and experimental layers while staying true to her acoustic roots.
Live, India Shania is captivating. She has performed in intimate settings, acoustic nights, and notable venues such as The Cavern Pub in Liverpool, where her voice has left audiences spellbound. Listeners often describe her performances as soul-stirring and deeply moving, with the ability to command absolute silence during her most vulnerable songs. Reviews highlight the unique balance she brings—gentleness with strength, simplicity with depth—creating an atmosphere where every lyric feels personal.
Her growing discography and strong presence on streaming platforms have positioned her as one of the most promising emerging voices in the acoustic-pop landscape. As she continues to write and release new music, India Shania stands out for her ability to connect emotionally with her audience while maintaining a timeless, authentic sound.

We require a room with a power socket depending on the length of performance as I have my own speaker which is portable but would need to be recharged
We need to know any directions that will help me and my team find the venue and find the right place to load in my equipment
Yes we provide sound equipment but no lighting
Yes we’re happy to play from Spotify before, after and between our sets. My team will be happy to choose the music just let us know the theme or if you want any dance along tunes on
The best gig I’ve done is probably the cavern club in Liverpool it was amazing to see the crowds
I love playing at bars and clubs and interacting with the crowd
started out as a passionate singer-songwriter from South Shields, writing acoustic songs that told honest stories about life and emotions. My journey really began in 2024 when I released my debut single ‘My Journey,’ which introduced my stripped-back, heartfelt style to listeners. Since then, I’ve continued to release original tracks like ‘A Lovely Man,’ ‘Voice on the Line,’ and ‘Dear Surgeon,’ all centered around themes of love, healing, and self-discovery.
Gigging came naturally because I wanted to share that same emotional connection live. I started performing at local acoustic nights and gradually built up to bigger venues, including memorable sets at places like The Cavern Pub in Liverpool. Each performance taught me how to hold a room and make every lyric feel personal, whether it’s an intimate crowd or a lively event. Today, I love creating that same experience for weddings, private events, and live shows, combining covers and originals to fit the moment.
I’ve been heavily influenced by timeless storytellers like Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman, and Joni Mitchell—their honesty and ability to move people through simple arrangements really shaped my sound. I also love the raw emotion of Adele and the atmospheric creativity of Billie Eilish, which inspire me to bring depth and intimacy into my own music.
Choosing a favorite artist is tough, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be Eva Cassidy. Her voice and interpretations feel so pure and effortless—they remind me why I fell in love with music in the first place.
As for the greatest song of all time, I’d say ‘Fast Car’ by Tracy Chapman. It’s a masterclass in storytelling—simple, emotional, and timeless. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded how powerful a song can be when it’s honest.
My typical setup time is about 1 to 1.5 hours, which includes sound check and making sure everything is perfect for the performance. I provide my own PA system and equipment, so it’s a smooth process without needing extra tech support from the venue.
For performance times, I’m really flexible. Most often, I do sets of 1 hour or 2 x 45-minute sessions, but I can also play longer—up to 3 hours for larger events. For weddings or special occasions, I can tailor the performance to fit the ceremony, drinks reception, and evening entertainment. I’m also happy to learn specific songs for your event to make it more personal
Yes, I’m happy to perform outdoors as long as there’s appropriate cover and protection for my equipment and instruments. I want to make sure the sound quality stays great and everything is safe in case of unpredictable weather. If those conditions are met, I absolutely love outdoor performances—they have such a special vibe!
Absolutely! I love working with clients to make the setlist feel personal and perfect for their event. You can choose from my existing repertoire, and if there are special songs that mean a lot to you, I’m happy to learn them in advance. I can also read the vibe of the crowd and adapt the set on the day to keep the energy just right my team will contact you
Clients often describe my performances as soulful, heartfelt, and completely captivating. They love how I can create an intimate atmosphere, whether it’s a wedding ceremony or a live acoustic night. Many people mention that my voice has a unique mix of softness and strength, and that my sets feel deeply personal and emotional. I’ve even had guests say you could hear a pin drop during certain songs because everyone was so tuned in.
Yes! My performances are a mix of well-loved covers and my own original music. If you’d like more originals or more covers, I’m happy to tailor the set to suit the vibe you want.
I’ve recently performed for a variety of events, including weddings, private parties, and acoustic nights. Some highlights include intimate gigs at The Cavern Pub in Liverpool, local acoustic sessions in Newcastle, and bespoke wedding performances where I created personalized setlists. I’ve also worked with clients through platforms like Encore Musicians, delivering tailored performances for everything from drinks receptions to full-day wedding packages
I’ve performed at a range of venues, from intimate acoustic spaces to iconic music spots. Some of the most memorable include:
• The Cavern Pub, Liverpool – a legendary live music venue that was an amazing experience.
• Acoustic nights across Newcastle and South Shields – perfect settings for my stripped-back style.
• Private event venues and wedding locations across the North East – creating personalized performances for couples and guests.
I really enjoy adapting to different spaces, whether it’s a cozy bar, a festival stage, or an outdoor celebration
