The best gigs are the ones where I get to hang out and talk to the audience between and after sets. Those connections and having a opportunity to make their night special are what makes gigs stand out to me. The best venues are the ones that keep having me back!
I love playing events of all sizes, but I love evening gigs where the guests are up and out of their seats dancing and requesting songs. The interaction makes for a memorable night.
I've been a bassist/backup singer professionally for over 20 years, and have been gigging since I was in highschool. I reached a slow point in my gigging career and decided to take a crack and solo acoustic performance to fill out my schedule. Lo and behold, I LOVE IT!
My favorite artist of all time is The Killers. They manage to sound fresh and modern and timeless all at once. When You Were Young is one of the greatest songs ever written and my favorite to sing.
I absolutely love sloths, I think they're so cute and chill. I think we could all learn from the ways of the sloths.
I normally arrive an hour before performing and play 3x45 or 50 minute sets. I am happy to play longer or shorter sets depending on what best suits my clients needs
I am happy to perform outside but ask for shade, a flat surface, and a power supply near the performance area.
I will do my best to perform specific songs for clients within reason. I have a broad catalog and can usually compromise. If I don't know a song request I can play something from the same era or genre.

Yes! As much as I love performing variety sets, I also love performing themed sets. I have an hours worth of material to play 3 distinct sets. Example themes are 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, 20's, emo/pop-punk, Indie, New Wave, Boy Bands, Country, Power Ballads
