We need a performance space large enough to accommodate a drum set.

We need to know if the venue has it's own drum set or if we need to provide our own. We'd also need to know how big the stage/performance area is, and the acoustics of the performance area.

Bear has performed live drums with a DJ at Power Plant Live Baltimore, MD, performed as Meshaun Labrone's drummer at The Delancey New York, NY, and multiple amphitheaters throughout the East Coast with the Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute Band.

Bear loves playing at all sorts of events but his favorite are events where the music gets everyone up dancing. For Bear, stepping on stage is more than just playing—it’s about sharing energy with the crowd. Even when the audience didn’t come specifically to see him, he thrives on the connection created through music. Watching people move and dance to the rhythm fuels his joy and reminds him of why he loves what he does.

Bear has been a self-taught drummer since 1994, drawing inspiration from greats like Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, and the late John Blackwell. His musical journey began in the church, where he first developed his love for rhythm and performance. By 2002, he had expanded his horizons, exploring a wide range of genres and performing with diverse bands. These experiences shaped his versatile style and deep passion for drumming.

Bear's drumming influences are Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, and the late John Blackwell. Bear's favorite artist is Prince. Give him any opportunity to sing karaoke and you will be sure that one of his songs will be 'Adore' by Prince. He also has performed live drumming to 'Computer Blue,' 'America,' and 'If I was your GF.' Bear's greatest song of all time is 'Let's Groove' by Earth, Wind & Fire, which he also has played live drums on with the Tribute Band.

Setup time depends on if the venue has it's own drum set or if Bear needs to provide his own. Two & 1/2 hours before the performance to setup his own drum set and sound check, or one & 1/2 hours before the performance to set up with the venue's drum set and sound check. Performance times varies depending on the gig.

Bear can learn specific songs before the event. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from Bear's repertoire or let him choose the music for them.
