Joe performed an acoustic set during the welcome drinks at our wedding on 1st June and it was perfect to avoid any pre dinner lull. Our guests (and of course us!) all loved him and we have heard nothing but rave reviews and compliments. Joe’s voice is honestly amazing and his performance was completely flawless! I am in awe of how talented one person can be! Thank you so much! We would highly, highly recommend.
DO NOT HESITATE! I would like to save you all a lot of time looking at 30/40 acts to have at your special occasion. I looked at Joe first and compared those 30/40 others to him and none came close. Joe's voice is nothing short of exceptional! I do not say that lightly either. I do not want to make this sound like the"JD appreciation society" but I honestly believe if you book Joe you will be able to say " we had Joe at our doo" to all your friends when he if famous. Apart from the obvious great voice and beautiful guitar ability, Joe is one one the nicest lads I have came across in my lifetime, nothing is too much trouble and everyone at our wedding absolutely loved him. Even the staff at the venue asked me about him and I was told the kitchen staff were "singing their heads off" as they worked. As the covid restrictions meant a small gathering for us, we are having another party later in the year and will most definitely be having this exemplary, insanely talented young man with us again and I feel very privileged for that honour. Me and my husband booked Joe for our wedding, he was absolutely amazing! His voice is incredible, he’s extremely professional - always quick to reply to emails, nothing was too much trouble, he really made our day so special. He learnt a song for our first dance for a small fee, we were blown away by it! It sounded better than the original. We cannot sing Joe's praises enough. He was amazing throughout and we are so very glad that we found him. He was always friendly and approachable when communicating and he even learnt a song that i requested for me to walk down the aisle to. This made it so very special. For our wedding in South of France, we asked Joe to sing at the ceremony. Words cannot express how wonderful he is. Joe is a very talented singer and guitarist! It was amazing, he has a beautiful warm voice. Nothing is too much for him. In the heat and sunshine, he kept on singing. We and our guests got tears in the eyes, he sings so incredibly beautiful! We recommend him to everyone!
From the moment I heard Joe sing, I knew I had to book him for my daughter's 30th birthday meal! From the minute he started singing to his final song, he had us all hooked, his choice of songs was well thought out and complemented the venue setting perfectly. It was lovely to see people singing and dancing along to his music, 10/10 doesn't seem to due Joe any justice! After searching and searching we came across joe, and we couldn't of picked anyone better than Joe. His talent speaks for itself. The song list he did was spot on to our taste and he has an amazing voice. From the second he started playing he captured the whole room. One of the main highlights of our big day. I cannot praise joe enough, the communication before our event was informative and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. He learned 3 of my husbands favourite songs to play on the night and they even had a bit of a jam at the end where my husband played the guitar and joe sang, it was wonderful. I loved every minute of the set that i saw/heard, being the host of the party i had to be here there and everywhere so couldn't just sit back and enjoy listening to joes fabulous voice however from the feedback i had from the rest of the guests they loved it to. We took a few of joes cards and handed them out to our guests so we hope to have the opportunity to see him perform again in the near future and i would not hesitate to book him for any events/partys that we might hold to. We listened to over 100 artists trying to find someone who fitted our vibe for our wedding. Someone who liked our indie rock type of music, and would be happy to learn a few songs especially for our day. Then we found Joe. From start to finish he was communicative, nothing was too much trouble, and he travelled all the way to Snowdonia to do our wedding. Joe agreed to play acoustic guitar instrumentals during our ceremony as we wanted a ‘live’ atmosphere, and then came to our reception and did a further 2 x sets in the evening, singing and playing live. Not only is Joe a fantastic singer, but a genuinely nice and down to earth guy. What an absolute pleasure to have you as part of our wedding day Joe. This guy could seriously charge an awful lot more than he does, but instead he remains affordable to appeal to all audiences. Highly recommend! (Needless to say, superb voice and guitarist! Such a talented and cool guy!)
Joe was just fantastic in every way. From he moment I contacted him, Joe went above and beyond to learn some of my Husband's favourite songs and songs that mean something to us as a couple / family. essentialy, Joe and I came up with a play list together. My husband was bowled over that one singer could perform Bruce Springsteen and Franky Vally equally as well. He played classic Irish ballads, country classics and bang up to date accoustic tunes. We have a few singers in our friendship group and Joe was a great sport in entertaining requests on a whim. Above all, Joe is extremely talented. He's a fantastic and agile musician with an exceptional vocal ability. I would highly recommend if you want a personalised, bespoke and flawless performer. We were absolutely blown away last night by the amazing Joe Doonan. Joe has an amazing voice that just captured everyone in the room. Not only that but he is such an approachable guy and a pleasure to be around. We could have listened to him all night. We have no problems in recommending Joe for any event and cannot wait for him to visit York again when we will most definetely be there to watch. Top top night, brilliant, amazing.
I would highly recommend Joe, he was very professional from the first time I contacted him. Prior to the event we requested a few songs that were not in his repertoire and he was very obliging in making sure he brushed up on them. His singing was brilliant and it just made the party very special. If you hire Joe I assure you that you will not be disappointed he is definitely worth every penny.

I booked Joe to help me with a proposal I had planned for my girlfriend. Joe was easy to communicate with and very accommodating for what was a pretty unusual event for both of us. Despite me being stressed, making a few random requests and even sending Joe to the wrong location, he remained calm and helpful throughout it all. Joe managed to learn a song on really short notice and I can't believe how well he performed it. On the day he exceeded my expectations, performing a small acoustic set and each song was brilliant. I booked joe at short notice to perform at my sons wedding on anglesey. He as brilliant, totally professional and reliable. He listened to exactly the atmosphere the bride and groom were hoping to create with his music, he sang and played beautifully to entertain the guests and even did a lovely rendition of elvis "cant help falling in love with you " as the bride walked down the aisle. Joe is consistent success at our events. I regularly book him in for a Friday night slot to entertain the guests in the bar area. All feedback I have received regarding Joe has been highly positive and guests always enjoy his nights at the microphone, and feel included in the fun. Joe is a highly skilled singer/guitar player and I would always recommend him to anyone looking for a musician for and event or otherwise. As well as being an all round genuine and nice guy.

Joe was very professional from first contact. Everybody at our party thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Amazing voice with a good variety of songs. People got his number for future events . will definitely book joe again when I forget how much I hate tidying up after parties.
