One of my best gigs to date would definitely be performing at Durban July, as it is one of the most prestigious events in South Africa. The energy, scale, and diversity of the crowd made it an unforgettable experience and a true milestone in my career. It was a moment that affirmed my growth as a DJ and my ability to perform on major stages under high-pressure, high-profile conditions.
My favourite type of event is one where I can really read and build the energy of the crowd, whether it’s a club set, lifestyle event, or a large-scale festival. I enjoy events where the audience is open to different genres, because as an open-format DJ I’m able to take people on a full musical journey — from old-school classics and R&B to amapiano, Afro-house, gqom, and commercial hits.
I especially enjoy high-energy events like festivals as well as lifestyle and brand events where music, atmosphere, and experience all come together. Those are the moments where I feel I can truly connect with people and create something memorable.
