I need 2 power sockets and, if the event is outside, some form of shelter in case of rain!

It is really helpful if I can have information about the closest place to park and unload at the venue and whether I can leave the car there or if it will need to be moved from the loading place.

I bring my own amp which is enough to carry the sound of the piano without being too loud!

I love playing for weddings! It’s such a privilege to be a part of a couple’s special day and to help set the atmosphere for the day! The music the bride walks down the aisle to is something I take pride in getting exactly as she wants, creating a piano arrangement of the chosen song that captures the magic of the moment. The timing is really important, making sure that there is the right amount of music so that the bride and her bridesmaids can walk down the aisle calmly knowing that if they take longer than planned I will play on until everyone is in place!

I have played the piano for over 30 years and have always enjoyed playing pop and rock songs. I studied music at Goldsmiths College, University of London and now split my time between teaching the Piano and Flute and performing as a Wedding Pianist.

I also play the Alto Saxophone in a number of groups including Soulfunktion (function band), the South Devon Big Band and in musical theatre shows.

I normally arrive 60-90 minutes before the performance to set up.

For a wedding ceremony I would play for 30 minutes before and after the ceremony as well as the music during the ceremony.

For receptions, I would usually play for 90 minutes - 2 hours but offer discounted rates for additional hours of music if needed.

Yes. I just need a power supply nearby providing 2 sockets and some form of shade/shelter in case of rain or excessive heat!

I’m happy to take requests prior to the event, this usually would be 2 or 3 favourite artists or 5 or 6 songs. I’ll do my best to incorporate these into my set list. I have a large list of songs in my repertoire that clients can also choose from.
